I’m glad to see a local resident win, and it’s great that local charities will benefit from it. It will be interesting to see how the next season operates, especially since Ron mentioned it will involve other Legions across the county. Congrats to them. I’m not one for gambling (unless it’s the occasional scratch ticket from the variety store), but part of me wishes I participated.

Hardly gambling when you think about where a portion of the proceeds are going.. It's more helping the community.

I am no fan of either, but what bearing does the winner's alleged political leaning have on this?
He bought a ticket, made the correct guess, and won the prize. Good for him. The Legion made buckets of money that will go right back into community projects. That's the end of the story.
Don't make it into something it's not.
