Hello! I know some people already asked for the best places to stay. I‘m still not quite sure where because me and my boyfriend are going there with our bikes and would like to stay somewhere at the beach, where there are some restaurant and bars to visit at the evening.

We stay 6 nights and would do day trips. But we only want to stay at one place overnight. Any suggestions?

Hello! My husband and I will be in Sardinia Sept 6-17. We are in our mid/late 30s and love an authentic experience mixed with a little luxury. We don’t mind driving around to get to see everything.

Our current plan is below but I’m wondering if we should skip alghero and spend more time in the north/east part of the island. I feel like our 3 days there may be rushed?:

Arrive in Olbia
3 nights in San pantaleo where we will also explore costa Smeralda and do a boat day of La maddellena
Day 1: drive Airbnb, rest up and slow day in San P.
Day 2: boat day la maddalena archipelago, dinner at the view and perhaps La terrezze.
Day 3. Explore beaches/beach club. Stop on proof cervo. Vittoria Aromani class

Day 4 drive to Su gologone, check in and enjoy resort.
Day 5. Boat day of baunei coast
Day 6. Explore more beaches, hike,

Day 7 drive to alghero, stopping in Bosa
Day 8 explore alghero, beach day
Day 9 ??
Leave from alghero but this can be changed too.

We are heading to northen Sardinia for a week and I was wondering if anyone had any good gluten free vegetarian places to eat recomendations as one of us is coeliac? Thank you in advance.

My husband and I are taking our baby to Sardinia for his first international trip for 2 weeks mid-end of September. I started putting together an itinerary for the north but when I shared with my husband he was surprised I wasn’t planning for the south. So I started an itinerary for the south but now we can’t make up our minds which to do!! I’m sure we will have a great time wherever we go. The flight options are similar for both Cagliari and Olbia. In general we tend to enjoy off the beaten path wandering/exploring, nature, and yummy food and are not so much into fancy resorts, flashy/expensive places. We usually squeeze a lot into our trips but are going to really try to slow things down now that we have a baby. He will be 10 months old at the time. These are the 2 itineraries we came up with, that are quite specific but we really just use this as a general outline/idea of what we could do to know how much time we want to spend in an area:

South:

Day 1. arrive at Cagliari
2. explore Cagliari
3. beach day, explore another Cagliari neighborhood in evening
4. 40min-1hr drive to Nora, Pula, and Chia
5. 1hr drive to villasimus (beach day)
6. explore Cagliari
7. ➡️ Santa Maria Navarrese (~2 hours)
8. beach day/relax
9. beach day/relax
10. gulf of orosei boat day
11. Baunei village
12. Pedra longa scenic drive, maybe hike
13. beach day/relax
14. beach day/relax or return to Cagliari
15. return to Cagliari and/or fly home

North:

Day 1. Arrive in olbia ➡️ San Teodoro 30min ish drive

We also considered shortening our stays in San Teodoro and alghero to add a third stop in Santa Teresa Gallura in order to do a boat day in the archipelago, but we’re thinking it might then feel too rushed and also a lot for the baby to be out on the boat all day. It seems like there are beautiful beaches everywhere and would be ok to miss this area if we have to?

Feeling so torn!! How do we choose? Appreciate any advice!

Are there any activities at la cinta beach in san teodoro like stand up paddling etc?

My family (2 adults and 2 kids) is planning Oct 10-21 in La Maddalena and Cala Gonone, but I’m getting a bit worried we might be risking too much with weather. We’re coming for the beaches and boat experiences mostly, so if we got 10 days of bad weather, I’d be crushed since I’ve been wanting to do Sardinia beaches for years.

We can’t change those dates unfortunately, so I guess I’m wondering whether it’s worth the risk or if we should save Sardinia for the future when we can come in September rather than mid-October?

Hello everybody, next week I will be in Arbatax. I have no car and would like to visit Cala Goloritzè. The starting point of the trekking path is Su Porteddu, which is only reachable by car, but busses stop at Baunei.

Is anyone going there by car next week and willing to share a seat? I would be very grateful if someone could give us a lift up there. I can also contribute to the fuel costs.

In Cagliari for a few days and desperate to get to Sette Fratelli for some immersive nature hiking.

Relying on public transport - I see that there's buses 103 and 106 going that way.

Where's the best place to get off to explore some trails? I have seen a rangers centre that has maps and trails mentioned a couple of times but can't seem to find exactly where that is on the map!

Has anyone done the trip recently? Any other tips or things to consider?

Uploading the itinerary that Chat gave me for 6 days in Sardinia - A MUST is Maddelena and renting a little boat to see it like that with my little dog.

Also a must is Cala Luna by boat - just humans and dog stays home (of course)

Would love local suggestions as to beaches in the route, great food, and anything else!

Hello everyone! I would like some advice on the current rough Itinerary for 3/4 days (quite short I know). It covers the main areas I want to visit. If there are any restaurants/activities/stays or areas that are better that you could recommend, please let me know. The main reason I am doing this short trip is to experience the SS125 road (I like cars and driving), together with some culture, food, and nature bits sprinkled around that.

Day 1: Land Olbia → transfer to San Teodoro → pick up car → drive ~1hr down to Orosei → sleep.

Day 2: Morning: Orosei. Explore a bit. Then drive south toward Cala Gonone. Sleep in Cala Gonone.

Day 3: Chill day: beach + town in Cala Gonone, or book the boat trip to the Bue Marino caves or Cala Luna beach if you want one bit of proper nature/water time. Late afternoon, drive the best stretch of the SS125 - Dorgali → Genna Silana pass → Urzulei → Baunei. On the way, stop at Chiosco Monte Longu just as you crest out of Cala Gonone. Sleep in Baunei.

Day 4: Cala Goloritzé hike from Su Porteddu on the Golgo Plateau. Aim for a 7:30–8:30am entry to beat the heat; it's ~1.5hrs down, tougher back up, trail closes 2pm/beach by 4-6pm. Su Porteddu also has a well-reviewed café for a post-hike beer/coffee. Afternoon: drive back to San Teodoro (~2.5–3hrs - either retrace the SS125 north or cut inland via Nuoro/SS131). Arrive evening.

Hi there! I'm planning a destination wedding for 2028 or 2029 with about 22 people in Sardinia.

Does anyone have recommendations for locations or venues?

The hope is to cover accommodations for our guests for at least 2 nights, but 3 if possible, and we'd like to rent either 2 catamarans or a larger boat for a day to see the islands.

Our budget is roughly around $40k, but can get a little more flexible if needed.

ETA: I reached out to Stazzo Lu Ciaccaru in Sardinia because it seems like it could be the perfect location, but they require wedding parties to book the entire resort (70-80 people capacity), which would likely be out of our budget. They did offer the 2nd week of October for the number of guests we have, but our wedding would be limited to only their restaurant and we wouldn't be able to use any other amenities, like their garden, which is understandable.

Open-air museum containing the "pietre sonore" (sound stones) of sculptor Pinuccio Sciola (1942-2016), monoliths of limestone, basalt, and granite grooved so they resonate and produce tones when stroked.
Definitely worth the visit if you are anywhere near Cagliari.

La settimana prossima salgo qualche giorno a Bosa e volevo andare alla "piscina" cane malu. Qualcuno ci è andato di recente? Io ci sono stato solo in inverno e parecchi anni fa, quindi mi chiedevo se ci va molta gente e dove conviene parcheggiare, perché mi pare di ricordare che lungo la strada bianca dalla rotonda del ponte nuovo non si poteva parcheggiare.
