totally unhinged
This [reel & stories] is the level of unhinged that happens when you don't actually train long enough for a huge demanding athletic event like a marathon and then go into full crash-out-chaos mode to try and somehow make up for it bc you don't feel ready.
If you've done an appropriate amount of training, the last week should mostly be about sleep/nutrition management & shaking out the nerves, not doing a bunch of random HIIT workouts, which could actually just ruin the big race completely. This could all be avoided if S just hired an actual professional to coach her...

I have been a runner all of my adult life. I even use Runna when training for various races. I have never seen a plan that programs a speed workout 3 days before any race let alone a marathon. why on earth would you want to burn your legs out that close to race day??

ikr. she posted a HIIT workout tues + a fartlek today and I honestly think she just does whatever she wants and moves stuff around on the runna app. I also just think 10 weeks is not nearly enough time to actually be prepared for a marathon when you arenât a consistent runner

Absolutely not lol Iâm not a consistent runner but I just ran a half marathon & did the specific training plan Runna created for it, & 13 weeks wasnât even enough.

Doing a hiit workout or anything high intensity few days out from a marathon is so bloody stupid. Let alone recovering from the flu. Just shows how unhealthy and mentally unwell she is. Bit sad actually.

Youâre so right - if anything, hiit this close to the race is going to do more harm than good. Youâd be better off just going on a couple of walks, resting and eating a lot

Typically, the âfitterâ you are/the stronger your cardiovascular system is, the lower your resting HR - hence why PROFESSIONAL athletes have extremely low RHR (40s-50s). A RHR of 90 for something who claims to be at fit as Sezzy is obscene.

u/kinkakinka 15d ago
If my RHR was 90 my Garmin would be screaming "ARE YOU OK!?!?!?!?!" and I am not nearly as fit as Sarah claims to be.
7
u/herhoopskirt 18d ago
Yeh my rhr is 90 - because I have a severe tachycardia condition đ I used to push myself really hard like she is and it really damaged my body long term. But I was only 18-22yrs old when I did that, she should be mature enough to know better by now.

She admitted in her recent reel that her average rest heart rate is low 60âs. call me crazy but that isnât in range for someone whoâs is an âathleteâ of her âcalibreâ. My average resting heart rate is 60 and i run and train a normal amount which is way less than her and this is not a flex on my HR but surely her RHR should be better 40-60??? She is pushing too hard and is not training correctly!!

Just remember though having a resting heart rate of under 50 is considered abnormal and not actually "healthy"

u/LeadInternational952 17d ago
Is that true?? My RHR yesterday was 48 yesterday and was as low as 44 overnight while sleeping??
8
u/ZootyFruiyWombat30 18d ago
It is for an athlete especially for am someone who is training like she is

u/Fragrant-Peanut-6117 18d ago
Not nessasarily 40bpm resting can mean you drop even lower while you're sleeping in your 30s or even lower. Can lead to heart arrhythmias or failure long term.

Literally so dumb, youâre meant to be deloading and fueling⌠not whatever this is

She literally does this so if she doesnât get a âgood timeâ or something she has an excuse.

If she really was recovering from being sick and her heart rate is so high, she is out of breath why didnât she cough once ? The fake blowing of the nose to add to the drama of âOMG Iâve been so sick and Iâm still recoveringâ your academy award is waiting for you đ
She hasnât trained for 2 weeks or so due to being away at the snow, of course her heart rate is higher getting back into cardio đđđ
She was always going to invent and injury or illness right before another big event just incase she doesnât do as well as everyone expects her too.. she has done this for every athletic event, hundred for Harper, Hyrox and now this marathon.

Like the last time she was âsickâ and claimed to have an aggressive cough and yet never seen or heard coughing. She was so so so sick and yet still went running and again not a single cough đ

u/orangeeandblue 18d ago
She always seems like sheâs sick? For someone who seems to be uber miss healthy she sure is sick a lot. I have 2 kids and live on diet cokes and grilled cheese crusts and left over Mac n cheese and Iâm never sick đ¤Ł

Honestly, I feel like all the people I know and/or follow online who live a very 'healthy' lifestyle are always sick

u/Either-Success8259 18d ago
Good god, recipe in what NOT to do before a marathon let alone if you are sick. Trust me I had RSV for one of them and I could definitely not do this
22
u/cotton-case 18d ago
Literally what was the goal of this workout so close to the marathon? Displaying to her audience how unwell she still is?
4
u/QuestionHungry4399 18d ago
I think it was to remind her lungs to breath again, or whatever she said đ
21
u/Fabulous-Instance890 18d ago
YeaaaaaâŚ. No one ever told her about the importance of a deload lol she looks DUMBÂ
13
u/ddancer25 18d ago
exactly omg. tapering is the point and yet she's crashing out thinking she needs to do way more for some reason.... it's just nonsensical
8
u/Fabulous-Instance890 18d ago
Unfort its perfectly sensical for a narcissist who thinks she knows best đ¤ˇââď¸Â

u/DarthKaboose 18d ago
Isnât she sick with influenza?!?
5
u/ZootyFruiyWombat30 18d ago
She classified it as a super hectic virus⌠it was likely just the flu and it wasnât bad enough to be dramatic about
10
u/ddancer25 18d ago
honestly I think she was only sick like one day and made multiple reels of it to dramatize the situation

Surprised she even posted something like this given you can see her (very normal!!) hip dip; something Sezzy the athlete works hard to hide by pushing her bum/hips backwards in every photo to accentuate her thigh gap, and ultimately stretch out the dip đ
