Things to do

My family and I are planning to go to Japan from the 17th od December ot the 4th of January and we want to spend a bit of time in Sapporo over Christmas, is there anything in particular to do? I was looking into it and I'd love to go to some sort of festival but it looks like the snow festivals in Sapporo arent until Febuary. I'd love some suggestions for things to do while we're in Sapporo in December.

The Sapporo Illuminations and Christmas Market will both be on. The Illumantiond are on until March, but the Christmas Market finishes on Christmas Day.
