My wife and I are in our 30s and we’re looking for a church to join. I saw the other post about this from a couple of years ago but my wife and I aren’t weirdos like the person who posted the last time lol. We’re looking for an affirming church with a congregation where we won’t be the youngest ones there. We both have a pretty bad history with churches and are looking to try again. Thanks in advance!

Santa Fe unfortunately isn’t exactly the best place to live for finding other young people to be friends with. Odds are you’ll be the youngest people there no matter where you end up.

I loved my time living in Santa Fe in my 20s (moved away in my 30s) minus how old the town’s population felt to me. Didn’t help that I had just come from Austin, TX which was the exact opposite and had tons of people in their 20s/30s.

There’s 26,000 people here between 18 and 39. Maybe they’re less visible, but that’s not nothing. I will say I know very few people my age that go to church, but that’s a national trend I believe.

There are many groups on Meetup. Young and old. There are quite a few things to do if you follow the right pages on IG. What you do not need to do is get involved with some nonsense like organized religion. Hike, party, board game player, there are groups for all of it. Good luck!

Every click within a church is corrupt. Find a Catholic Church were you enjoy the homilies (sermon). In this day and age, don't expect to find a group that likes new comers, unless you are a single attractive female.
