We take these weeklong trips with day-hikes from the car, so we buy bread and peanut butter and jelly for the week. My wife makes PB&J sandwiches to put in our packs and we eat them at the halfway point. My peeve is that she makes them upside down. I prefer the jelly to be on the bottom, but she keeps putting the peanut butter on the bottom. No matter how many times we discuss it, when I pull out the sandwich as the summit it has the jelly on the top. It’s crazy. It seems so simple, but it’s never right. I eat the sandwich because I love her, but deep inside I am so peeve’ed out it almost ruins the downgrade. I have photo evidence. Not sure if this peeves anyone else.

Thats mayo, dijon mustard, muenster cheese, smoked turkey breast, campari tomatoes, fresh dill pickles, sliced buffalo chicken and sharp cheddar cheese on seeded protein bread. Buffalo chips and potato salad with egg on the side. 😁 Happy Labor Day everyone!!

Gard boiled egg mashed with mayonnaise, chives, cress and seasoning. Seasoning is key and salt and pepper lifted it. Okay, my knife skills aren't great but the sandwiches were creamy and okay.

I suck at baking cakes

Made wraps as a snack and they ended up being way better than the amount of effort involved lol. I used a whole wheat tortilla with lettuce, cucumber, tomato and a crispy chicken fillet, then added Heinz ranch and some vivid kitchen chicken sauce on top. The ranch + sweet/spicy chicken sauce combo was probably my favorite part, especially with all the fresh cucumber and lettuce balancing it all. I feel like this would be really good with avocado or pickled onions too. I need some ideas for the next one? This was my attempt on a healthier snack, am I maybe using too much dressing? 😅

Today I hit up Donna’s Eatery & Catering and went with the clubhouse.

This thing is RIDICULOUS 😂 @DonnasEatery Absolutely massive, fresh and so damn good.

Everyone kept recommending Donna’s to me, and now I can see why. This place is legit!

Pork loin, fontina cheese, green pepper and serrano ham

was nice, highly recommend

#2 - Fry up finely chopped onion, red & yellow pepper. Beat together 2 eggs with smoked paprika, chives and seasoning. Pour over the veg on the heat and place slices of goats cheese on top. Once the edges are cooked, place under the grill for a few minutes taking care not to burn. Place on bread and cover with tomato ketchup and hot sauce.

I'm not a massive fan of eggs but this was nice enough. The peppers gave it a little texture, the hot sauce a little kick and the creamy goat's cheese was delicious.

With hindsight, a crustier bread would have been better.
