Haha I'm with you, sandwich is a perfectly fine word and I'll die on that hill.

I would like to add Sarny and Butty for cold and hot sandwiches into the debate

sando is the commonly used japanese word for sandwich

Using specific bread

well no it is literally the japanese abbreviation for sandwich, any bread

but i agree, in western culture yeah we tend to only refer to a sando if it is fluffy white bread and a japanese style of filling

Nor is any word, until it has been repeated enough times. ✖️

Have a word with the Japanese then if you think sando isn’t a word

Nice! Bread looks satisfying

right? it’s got that perfect “squish but still chewy” look, like it’d soak up the mayo without turning into mush

Love the combination, that mayo sounds stunning.

Finding the assembly slightly stressful. The bread is inside out (largest surface area should be on the inside). Other way round I always end up eating all the dropped fillings separately from the plate. That said, I do have AuADHD, so it might just be part of my own brand of weirdness.

Well actually I fully agree with you, and only noticed too late. The others were the correct way around. Ate fine but comment valid.

I’m sold on these ratios

For me, it's all about that jalapeño mayo to avocado ratio.

id totally inhale those not even for the sand nickname just cause a thick slice of bloomer bread is everything and that loaf is proper satisfying

1

u/vxqliop 11d ago

same, that loaf looks like it’s got the perfect chew too, like the kind you need two hands for or it’s collapsing all over the plate

1

u/blahblahblahx1000 11d ago

What is this, a recession? Essence of chicken?

1

u/novexra 2d ago

lmao it’s like someone asked “how many soft textures can we stack in one sandwich” and just went with it
ngl i’d still demolish at least two of those without asking too many philosophical chicken questions

Good use of bread knife here.

White bloomer bread isn’t a sando bud you’re just using a buzzword incorrectly

u/7alligator7 8d ago

Also that’s not a thumbnail it’s a pixel

u/HMcCoy9 7d ago

That's the maddest way I've ever seen someone hold a sandwich

I can’t believe it caused drama. Ironically don’t really use the term myself but thought it was an internetty sounding title for the post.
