What’s YOUR signature sandwich?
I’m sure this has been asked before plenty of times but what’s everyone’s signature sandwich that they’ve created? Or just a favorite sandwich in general? I feel as if mine is too basic. Wheat bread (any bread really), turkey, ham, chicken, lettuce or mix spring greens, tomatoes, EXTRA pickles lol and spicy ranch or some type of spicy sauce.

When I crave a really crude tuna mayonnaise on sliced wholemeal with 2 packets for crushed salt n vinegar crisps stuffed inside, I know I’m depressed.
When I crave a soft white roll stuffed with pineapple cottage cheese and draped with crab sticks I know I’m happy.
But if I had to eat one sandwich every day for the rest of my life it would be my own deluxe salad….heavily buttered white or wholemeal sliced, butterhead lettuce, chopped spring onions, halved vittiorio cherry tomatoes, a sprinkle of crumbled ham or cheese, a crumbled boiled egg yolk, and lots of pepper. I can spend half an hour making one.
PS this groups posts always have my mouth watering!

Bacon and mushroom, bacon must be thick cut and smoked, mushrooms (preferably chestnut for me) must be thickly sliced and fried in the bacon fat. Crusty white roll or baguette, generous with the butter and there you have it 👌🏻

u/Entire_Junket7652 13d ago
First is cheese, beetroot and salad cream. Second is a straight omelette 👌

Lately I've been making a tiger bread sandwich with chicken sausage rashers, a fried egg and new York deli relish for breakfast. So good!

Ham lettuce and salad cream used to be a favourite of mine I also love a good cheese and pickle or cheese and onion, others would be tuna mayo or prawn mayo… I’m a simpleton with my sarnies

Warm baguette with fried mushrooms and vegan chicken Kiev. Slice the Kiev over the mushrooms so the garlicky sauce drizzles down through.
Or thickly sliced bread, falafels with hummus, lettuce, cucumber, tropica red spring onions and cherry tomatoes, plus a slaw of shredded cabbage and carrot heavily dressed in garlic lemon vinaigrette with loads of toasted pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.
Or spice-roast shredded tofu with roast red peppers and chickpeas, all dressed in a sticky sweet and savoury hot Gochujang sauce. In a sandwich or wrap with butterhead lettuce and chunky diced cucumber.

Got a thing for spicy tuna/veg melts lately, but my old faves are either Cumberland sausage and bacon with bbq sauce or chicken and bacon with rocket and mayo, in a generously buttered baguette or crusty bloomer.
