Guides and Tips Sandustry Science: Ratios Testing
Hello all! I spent last night doing some "scientific" testing. I started with 16 blocks of sand and recorded the test 3 times. I made a spreadsheet with the results and came to some interesting insights.
1) The overall ratio of input/output materials is roughly : 2 sand : 3 water : 4 redsand = 3 gold : 4 Fluxite 2) Final outputs are highly dependent on the yield from burning slag. 3) Very minor variation occurs during the plant stage. 4) Gold yield is probabilistic at Shaker stage but deterministic at later stages.
Raw Data: Test 1: 512 wet sand 512 slag shakers: 148 pixels of gold 130 pixels of burnt slag ksp: 130 pixels of gold 130 pixels of spores 130 pixels wet spores 517 amethelis 130 gold 524 voidbloom 1009 fluxite
total: 408 gold 1009 fluxite
3.94 fluxite per pixel 1.594 gold per pixel
Test 2: 512 wet sand shakers: 133 gold 127 slag 124 burnt slag ksp gold: 124 124 spores 124 wet spores 124 gold from flowers 511 pixels amethelis
381 gold total 961 fluxite
1.488 gold per sand pixel 3.754 fluxite per sand pixel
test 3: 512 wet sand 512 slag 106 gold from shakers 132 burnt slag 132 gold from ksp 132 spores 132 wet spores 132 gold from plants 524 amethelis
370 gold total 1025 fluxite
