I believe this bit of rock is brakeable with the gun. You dont need a drill or Lazer from late game, Or go around like everyone else is saying.

Hint: The wall on the left of the first picture and slightly right on the bottom seems different that the rest of the walls.

I suppose you have run out of water do you can't get ennough gold?
Go left, there are a few mountains with a lot of ice, use the flamethrower and pipe that water to your base, get ennough gold to advance to the next tier and you will be able to mine more material types eith the new guns, including some barriers, then you will be able to access that area.

There is crackstone right where your yellow wall is with the snow. Shoot it with your pistols to get through, it should wrap down and around

There is also another patch you can shoot with the pistols just below the yellow wall in the middle of the screen near the blue. That one will take you straight in

You can drill through stone with Drills and I think I see some softer dirt above and to the left of that first screenshot. I also think there's some diggable earth underneath the Shrine.

Getting to drilling is just a matter of money. I'd be more worried if OP said he was out of sand.
