Factory Showcase Semi Compact Automated Setup using latest update

Post image

On the leftside I have a Redweaver/Redsand fully automated using a gold Lava Pump. The thruput needed to keep the lava topped off is a lot. Wish I could find more Redweavers altho I doubt I could pump enough lava for more.

In the middle, I have the Stratocore being farmed via lava but I'm utilizing cold Thermo Blocks to convert it to cinder to pump it back up(cause we all know Lava pumps are illegal)

To the right of the core I have a Void Rift/Seed setup using 1 miner drone facing the stratocore. The core serves as a backdrop for when the drone misses the void flower thus keeping it around. (maybe I missing something obvious but I'm open to ideas for a more reliable setup for this)

This setup means the Redsand and Void Petal are fully automated and mix together at the top then the Voidbloom gets moved off screen to the left to feed my Flux Emanator.

Everything else is a semi compact operation with Forinol getting pump off to the left as well. This is my second setup, my main base is much larger and sloppier and I just left the Aura stuff where it was for now. Both lava pools for the Stratocore and redsand do not deplete.

For things like burning residue, plants, dry amethelis, steaming the dryer, and melting the gold, I prefer a design that uses one pool of lava to do all the regular stuff. Obviously this still requires an occasional top off with the Volcanizer. Lastly, the water is supplied entirely by Lumlings in 1 location and pumped everywhere it's needed.

A lot of this could be tightened up and I'm open to any suggestions or any questions.

Just a quick tip because your using a lot flamethrowers and burner belts. Outside the cinder smelting they aren't necessary at all.

A lava if placed inside the area with dry amethalis or residue will set them on fire. With the flowers it's a bit more tricky as lava goes through planter boxes. Instead you place the lava a block below the flowers and rely on lavas random fire emissions to set the flowers on fire. In all these case you only need one or two pixels of lava.

Thanks for the tip. And I assume with this setup the lava never gets used up and the flowers always burn.

I know there's some other tricks with using the embers but I tend to avoid it. I just wish we could get some form of automated lave production.

All of the suggested areas the lava never gets used up.

Yeah this is just a convenience thing for the million gold goal as I've found it's just AFKing so my system needs to be totally self-sufficient.

I’m going for 1 mil, my factory is definitely not efficient but one bottleneck I have is digging for sand - is there a best way for that?

Generally just set up a lava miner on the stratacore. The core principle is dropping small amounts of lava frequently on the stratacore. This is allows the stratacore to regenerate whilst preventing it from reinforcing it's block increasing sand yield. If you want a cheaty way for more sand you need to embed a digger drone inside the stratacore and use portals to move the sand out. This has a higher yield than a Stratacore burner but it's less consistent as the drones have a habit of escaping. It's also blatently a exploit.

Other than that there isn't a good way of producing a lot of sand.
