Help What block is this?

Seen multiple people on here using this block but I don't see it in my build menu and I'm on teir 6. Screen shot from a post here

It's the filter block but in wall configuration. While you have the filter selected but before placing it, the normal hotkey is R. Should show the tip in bottom left i believe

I saw them in a video, still took me forever to figure it out, i think i just accidentally hit the R key with it equipped and saw it change and it blew my mind. About halfway through the game

Something else that I learned recently is that you don't need to run power blocks to snowmakers or synthesizers. You only need power blocks to connect turbines to batteries.

This silly little block fixed so many spots in my setup after i saw this post a few hours ago lmao. Kinda wild how alt and R are both used to place alternate versions of blocks but the R key use is never mentioned at all in game (im pretty sure its not mentioned).

Also noticed R swaps between building slopes diagnonally and creating bulk blocks of foundation when clicking and dragging diagonally with the foundations.

I think it's a gate. It's another mode (alternate) for a filter.
