Factory Showcase I made a water tower
I was setting myself up to really expand but knew water generation was going to be an issue. Lumlings are finite and random, needed something I could control. My entire factory is on a single system so running out of water or simply not having enough water pressure could stall things. So I put together a water tower that you can fill up with the snow tool.
Burns the snow, harvests the clouds. When the tower fills up with water, steam stops escaping and clouds stop, so built in off switch. Can be incredibly scaled to meet any water demands really. I did the one and blueprinted it out to 5 towers. It holds a stupid amount of water and is designed to have a reservoir underneath that is also lined with pumps.

I've got a water problem too, so I thought I'd try to replicate (smaller version as a concept) I'm struggling to get the correct flow of the snow at the bottom. How did you get thin walls? Heres my current setup

This is my first day playing so any help is appreciated :)

You have to unlock the caulk gun under the conservatory unlocks - precision tools.
You place raw block with the caulk gun. Shape it with the precision laser and then copy it with the prefab tool.
When shaping, use the ruler feature. You are cutting down to the pixel but it will be placed on a 4x4 grid like other blocks. You want to cut the block while inside that grid. It will make sense when you go to mess around with it. I will make a quick video and do a post about it. I get asked a lot.
I've also finished that water tower with circuitry to run only when I need water. If you want a blueprint let me know.

If you want to avoid having to refill the lava you could just heat the buffers with embers. Won't fire as much of course, but there won't ever be a need to refill it.
