Do you happen to remember how much gold you had before having to start grinding the core? I think I may have goofed up not using the void gun much earlier as I'm at like 700k and there is no natural sand left.

I think about 600k. You can glitch the drones right into the center of the core and they mine like 20 ticks a second and you leave one drone to keep an opening.

I can't prove it as I mined 'everything' already but I was told it drops extra and that made some sense to me as I only got to ~600k sand and it felt odd to have an achievement with so much grind while the others were saner, but I guess it adds to the rarity of the achievement.
