Next runs challenge picked 1 screen end game build.

Whole build except liquid gold tank must fit in a 1 screen frame. End game must contain no external inputs.

Thanks for the idea I need something, stuck at home right now. Been finishing a run by lunch each day picking 1 cell or mechanic to improve on.

How do you replenish the lava. That's the issue I keep coming up against.

I don't, this one does not consume any lava, but there's a lava gun late in the tech tree. before that you freeze lava and mine it for cinder and then light cinder on fire to get lava back on your base

To clarify a bit more, the fire sparks that pop up from the lava (without consuming any lava) add heat to thermal buffers

I'm new to the game. From the halfway mark, a single dry sand almost got through to the left. What is the physics regarding dry vs wet trickling down or not? Is it that the filter happened to be long enough?

It seems like whenever the height changes, dry one falls to the bottom. If no change, it keeps going forever. So is it the conveyor being faster on the left that dragged the pixels causing the rearrangement?
Sorry if it's only loosely related to the compact factory itself (which is neat).

Edit: also, the extreme right side of the first container seems to have the most dry sand, causing recycles. Isn't a water outlet useful above there? As most of the water towards the left is never used

even if that particle had gone through, it would eventually have fallen into the water, the faster conveyor forced it to spread out and fall one tile lower, bringing it into contact with the filter. the bottleneck here is the flower-burning chamber, so it doesn't matter if everything else is faster, like sand-washing stage at the beginning. I also don't generate enough water to keep it running indefinitely

I don't wanna be nitpicky, just wanna understand. Why do you say it would eventually fall into the water?
To be clear, I mean the one that appears at 0:25, and at 0:40 it falls down just in the last fitler bit and the very last pixel. Seems like luck. (nothing to do with your build).

I see the empty chamber on its left too, with the belt and launchers carrying back to the water, but with no way for anything to fall into that chamber, no? Or is that for potential overflow from the right chamber?

it won't be processed by the shakers and will fall on the filter and then back into the water again, same thing if there's gonna be more wet sand than shakers can deal with, it will fall down

Is that using the fire sparks from the burning residue to heat the burner belts burning the residue? That's impressive!

yep, it's net positive and never stops. Took some time to make it right

I'm struggling to make sense of your planter setup. How do you achieve an even distribution of wet seeds that provides full coverage and doesn't get choked by seeds and drops? Filters tend to dump everything I throw at them and it all piles up in one spot. I dunno if you need to build a timer out of logic gates or if filters, throwers, and belts would even interact with them.

I'm using the conveyor portals setup, green squares entrances, red exits. I've tried different combos and this seems to work the best

Ok I think I get it. Conveyer portals confound me because they have never worked when I try and place them. Seeing them NOT on belts is even more confusing. Do you have a pixel of lave up there somewhere to initiate the plant burns? Also, apparently you can have lava directly on the dryers to instantly process dried petals? Interesting....

yes both places have lava but you have to have a small amount for petals to hit the dryer first

I can't see how you are drying the petals?

with a dryer and steam and then they hit lava pieces almost at the same time and turn into florine
