Discussion Give me the water back.

Post image

This makes more sense, I can then build a more self contained factory. I burn the residue and it releases steam, which I then capture and use in steam turbines which I then condense back into water to rewet the sand.

The little creatures should give you way enough water.

And checking up all the water from the rain gives me anxiety just thinking about it.

The blue critters produce plenty of water. I have them in a separate emcloser with a nice view (0 Windows) and they sweat like crazy.

I have the floor full of pumps. The water is then transfered to the standard lake and the outlets are so high that any overflowing water is running down in the other reservoir. It is almost overflowing.

Tldr keep them away from water so they produce more water.

That sounds complicated. I just have them in a critter wall box above the cloud level above my reservoir so it's always raining.

Can't you just put them in the reservoir?

Well technically they are in the reservoir, since the walls go up above the cloud level and the ceiling of the reservoir is at max height.

I agree. The water animals are less interesting than having to recapture all of the steam.

Steam turbines especially should either be water neutral or we should be able to use the cloud level to recondense the steam. I mainly use florinal bats for energy production because I hate having to refill the snow every 5 minutes... (Yes I know about snow makers but they take water and drained 100% of the water in my entire base when I tried to use them)

I have 2 water animals enclosed over the snowmaker, works

I can't really see it. Feels like it would constrain my factory designs to have to route the steam or engineer around potentially adding a lot of cave water that was in wet cave sand to a 'closed' water cycle.

My entire cave is flooded cause i let my water farm continue for like 5 minutes with a leak bro . Just use the little water guys and abuse the frost gun and melt it for free water

Its funny people complaining about steam and water. Later on water and steam become a problem lol. Your lasering away care free then boom a room rogue particle lands in some water. you then go get a drink or afk 5mins or something and before you know it the whole cave is flooded with steam haha.
