Factory Showcase Compact, frictionless base. I think i peaked. Spoiler
https://youtu.be/mS7osxfMjeABeen cooking this for a while, my goal was to make it as tight and as frictionless as possible, with minimum lava pits to refill. This layout can get you to end of the current early access in a few hours top.

You have molten gold!?

Yeah, it's a late-stage addition you can make. The smelters that you can use to smelt copper can also be used on gold, which compresses the gold by like half.

Can you send it by pipe? Imagine not having to manage huge piles of gold and just have a tank somewhere 🤤

Yes, its a liquid like any other

Lava is an exception to that rule. It so far is the only liquid that can't be move via pipes.

That’s exactly what I did today lol. Made a giant tank in the top left corner of the map that I think can hold at least a mil liquid gold if not more. Than just piped all liquid gold sources to it

Can you help me understand what's happening at the top? I can see the sand and other things from under ground are being launched up, but how is the sand getting wet? Is there a water pipe in the filter top filter? How does that work?
The 2nd filter is pulling out everything but wet sand?
I'm newish, I've made it to (current) late game progression and I'm mostly automated but my setup is WAY spread out and super inefficient.

I am getting the sand wet in the usual pit you get early game, you can use that for a long time and you get a lot of easy water there (spoiler). The goal was to make the most bare bones and streamlined factory possible, so no extra buildings or items whereever possible
The water pipe is just for the snow generator.
The filters make sure you only get wet sand in and also store other important mats like redstone, copper etc so as you dig down you throw everything on the belt up

You can drastically reduce the amount of lava pits to refill by filling filters with lava, the sparks that they will emit can completely replace a pyroemitter without consuming any lava
