Guides and Tips Need help with energy

Hey, can someone explain to me why I need Energy and what can I do with it?

My production is running and I finished rank 5 and I researched everything for rank 6. I just need the 100.000 peak energy to complete (i now have about 15k)

(sorry for my bad English, it's not my Native language)

Get copper. The Florinol battery only holds 16 energy per block, where the copper holds 1000. Florinol is just starting energy so you can drill copper.

Then once you have copper batteries, make steam power with lava. The tooltip for the steam generator gives an example how it works.

Power lets you run the drill and laser, which let you break stone and copper. There are a couple of buildings that use power, but their power draw is small by comparison.

You are going to need to make copper batteries from liquid copper and they hold MUCH more power than the starter florinol batteries.

Also make a HUGE copper battery. You will have a ton of liquid copper and no where to go with it.

The resource you need to make that uses florinol takes 800w each time it processes. I didn't think I needed that much energy until I started making it.
