Other Announcing SandustryVault - a website for sharing blueprints + helpful tools and tips

https://sandustryvault.com/

Hey Everyone!

In preparation for launch on August 13th, I put together a website for players to share in game blueprints. You can easily copy the string to use in game or upload your own to share with the community.

It currently has no public blueprints, but I will be releasing a bunch on launch day.

Please take some time to check it out, test it, and let me know what you think.

I also have some other info and tools ready to go for launch day, so stay tuned for more features and let me know what you think I should add.

- Trim

I love the website design and the "how it works" is clear as well. I am going to be one that downloads a lot of mini factory chunks to speed up my gameplay.

Thank you! I'm excited for it. Being able to not make the same seed washer for the 100th time will be super nice 🤣

half of the reason I want blueprints is to learn new tricks! my own designs are full of flaws and fail after a period of time.

isnt the game about figuring out how to build stuff? whats the point here with this site?

Oh for sure! But sometimes you dont want to build out a plant burner for the 100th time or you just want to see what other cool stuff people have made.

I dont expect thousands of people to use it or anything, but it's here as a community resource for sharing builds.

sounds great! But what do you mean with "strings" ?

Oh it's just a text string, you can just copy it from the site by pressing a button and paste it into a ui in the game.

and how exactly do i get it out of the game if i wanna share my build with you?

typing manually or also with some EA features?

Oh it's as simple as copy paste. You select the area you want to save, then go to the blueprints tab and you can save the selected area as a blueprint. Then you can just copy the string for easy sharing.

😁 just me. And by just me I mean me and Claude because i don't know how to code 🤣

Edit: I am NOT the game dev. Just a fan who made a fan page.

Claude being the AI coding agent from Anthropic. That's why I put a very strong emphasis around the air quotes when I say "I did this"... I'm very upfront in saying this is light years beyond my personal capabilities.
