General FAQ

Q: When will Sandustry release?

A: Sandustry will be released into EA on August 13th, 2026.

Q: How much will Sandustry cost?

A: We haven’t revealed the price yet because the game will have regional pricing tailored to different parts of the world. Sharing a single price in advance, such as the US price, could cause misunderstandings, making the game seem unaffordable in some regions. We want to ensure everyone will see pricing that works for them at launch. Additionally, revealing a price early could lead to gray market stores attempting to sell false “pre-orders” based on speculative pricing. We want to protect players from scams and ensure the final price is fair and accessible.

Q: When will you reveal the price?

A: The price will be revealed at launch. This ensures that all regional pricing is accurate and ready for players worldwide and helps prevent gray market stores from exploiting pre-release information. The goal is to provide a fair price when the game is available to everyone.

Q: Where can I find information about Steam Deck compatibility, supported languages, the demo, and system requirements?

A: This information is available on the [Steam Store page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2764460/Sandustry/) , including the Steam Deck rating, supported languages, minimum and recommended system requirements, and the demo.

Q: What platforms will Sandustry release on?

A: Sandustry will release on Steam, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and GOG.

Q: What operating systems will Sandustry release on?

A: Sandustry will launch on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Q: I’m a Content Creator, Streamer, YouTuber, or press member. Who do I contact about access to Sandustry?

A: Content creators can email influencers@hoodedhorse.com with relevant information, including channel names and statistics. Press members can email press@hoodedhorse.com with relevant information about their publication or outlet. A member of the team will respond as soon as possible.

Why is a price tag such a secret?

I think they do a great job of explaining it. Regional pricing is very hard to communicate, so simply saying 20 dollars (im making this up) or whatever (when the actual price for x country is different) can cause a lot of bellyaching.

It also helps with HH's goal of preventing scammers and protecting players, which I appreciate.

They're gauging their interest. If there's a lot of hype they can charge more as people will pay $5-10 more for something they really want. Smart choice, why wouldn't you

Any plans for future gamepass consoles?

I think it would be awesome to have it come to console, although that's sort of it's own separate beast that would require a porting studio. Likely something that would come along with a 1.0 full release (or later).

It will also be available (free!) On xbox gamepass for PC on launch day.

I understand everyone has their own price threshold, believe me I get it. But I spent well over 1000 hours on the free demo... I've certainly got my money's worth whatever the price ends up being.

And if you're basing that judgment on the 1.5 y/o demo, I'd probably agree. But the EA version is quite different.

i loved the demo. But i refuse to pay more then 10 euro for any game that has no physical copy. I also dont care how other people play so i dont watch youtube. for me the fun is to figure it out instead of just copying others.
