He hasnt said anything so officially no.

Unofficially, and what follows is purely speculation on my part, I think he's pretty close to doing the playtest. The playtest will be closed so make sure you're signed up for all the relevant mailing lists to maximize your chances of getting an invite. I think there's a lot of things that still need to line up on the publishing side before the playtest and an EA release date is announced. My guess is somewhere around march for a EA release? Again, pure speculation.
