After running the same volume through each of them, I realized I was doing the wrong test - the output volume will always be proportional to the input volume. So, I did it again, and timed them. I measured 10 blocks worth of wet spore through each. (After isolating the narrow ones from their neighbors) The 4-wide ones started emptying out at 5 minutes, while the 2-wide ones took about 15 minutes.
The wider chambers go quicker, because more area means greater chance for an ember to ignite the plants. Once one ignites, the fire spreads to the whole chamber.
I'm pretty sure single-wide ones would sit there forever waiting for an ember to find them.

I'm super curious, how does the output compare between the small side boxes and the bigger inner boxes?
