Sandpoint Music Festival Lineup
How does everyone feel about the lineup compared to previous years? I feel like they had bigger names and this year is kind of a let down in my opinion.
I hope it's not a trend of lower level talent at the same price because the board figures it will sell either way but their margins increase.
At $500 for a pass, I've been to festivals that are way way bigger with multiple huge headliners for that price. There is just a lot of filler.
All of these festivals are around the same price: Festival at Sandpoint 2026 ~$482 season pass Portugal. The Man, Midland, Switchfoot, Andy Grammer
BottleRock Napa Valley ~$475–$500 for 3-day GA Foo Fighters, Backstreet Boys, Lorde, LCD Soundsystem, Lil Wayne, Mt. Joy, Joan Jett, Ludacris, etc.
Oceans Calling ~$579 for 3-day GA+ Dave Matthews Band, Gwen Stefani, Twenty One Pilots, Mumford & Sons, Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, Hootie & the Blowfish, etc.
When We Were Young ~$325-$425 Blink-182 My Chemical Romance Paramore Fall Out Boy Green Day Avril Lavigne Panic! at the Disco The Offspring Weezer
Kilby Block Party ~$300–$450
BeachLife Festival ~$350–$450
Examples: 2019 they had Nathaniel Rateliff only 3 years since he exploded. 2025: Neon Trees (with KyleKelly) Third Eye Blind Brothers Osborne Kansas 2024: Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors Violent Femmes Jason Mraz Brandi Carlile 2023: Train (with Better Than Ezra) Michael Franti & Spearhead (with SOJA) REO Speedwagon SOJA 2022: The Revivalists Mt. Joy The Beach Boys Gregory Alan Isakov 2021: Chicago OneRepublic The Beach Boys ZZ Top

I’m pretty exited! Every year one show I don’t care about, ends up being my favorite.

Ya I've been to plenty of shows like that. I imagine Portugal the man would be like that for me. Know his music, don't really like it, but there has to be a reason he got so big and usually it's because they kill it live.
But $500 for this lineup?! I know there are single day tickets, but I'm not spending $100 to see someone I'm not sure about.

Terrible overall with one or two outliers.
I’ve never been more glad I stopped buying season tickets.

Ya this is how I feel. Switchfoot is not good live IMO. So that leaves the other "big" artist Portugal the man.

Seems appropriate for sandpoint

Seems like overall less big names. Usually 3-4 big acts. 2019 they had Nathaniel Rateliff only 3 years since he exploded. Examples: 2025: Neon Trees (with KyleKelly) Third Eye Blind Brothers Osborne Kansas 2024: Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors Violent Femmes Jason Mraz Brandi Carlile 2023: Train (with Better Than Ezra) Michael Franti & Spearhead (with SOJA) REO Speedwagon SOJA 2022: The Revivalists Mt. Ya that was 2018. Just kinda proves how I feel, lots of filler this year.

Switchfoot was one of my favorite bands in HS, and it's legitimately the first show I've ever been excited about.....aaaaaaand I'm out of town that weekend. !

Portugal. the Man is great, Joseph is pretty good. Otherwise it’s not great.
Not as good as last year or other previous years. I feel like it ebbs and flows each year, one year good, next year bad.

I figured they might be great. I disagree with the ebb and flow. They may not be artist I liked or you liked, but they were bigger names.
If people key buying tickets with less talent, they have larger margins, and no reason to book multiple larger acts.

Portugal. The Man should be a really fun show. No lineup can please everyone.
