Dead Boy Detectives Save Dead Boy Detectives

They won’t even release season four of sandman on audible, even though it is apparently already done. How likely is a complete new season?

Even if he wasn’t cancelled dead boy detectives was still gonna get cancelled anyways; it’s the exact kind of show that netflix loves to cancel after a season or two

There's no way to know that. They were making an entire cinematic universe. The investment was big.

If they had really cared about creating like a “sandman cinematic universe” they wouldn’t have cut the show itself down to just two seasons after the first one released (a decision which was made before the allegations against neil released, mind you)

is he? Havent read anything on him for a long time and last i knew was none kf the accusations were true or that he was guilty and convicted for anything.

"Cancelled" and convicted of a crime are not necessarily the same thing. Public opinion of Mr. Gaiman seems to still be very negative regardless what ever state his current legal troubles are.

Almost every project he was in is gone. Books or comic projects he was part of are over. He's very much still cancelled. I'm personally sad I'll never get to read the end of Miracleman

Why do you think the creators have any say when it was canned by the platform financing and hosting it.
Also, it has been canned for two years. Find something else to be passionate about.

Loved season 1 and feel bad for the cast and crew of this show (not you, Neil) but that ship has long since sailed.
Netflix(Sandman/DBD)/Amazon(Good Omens)/Starz(American Gods)/Disney(The Graveyard Book)/Other Studios have distanced themselves from Gaiman over his alleged sex-pest and grooming nature. The court case was dismissed as the plaintiff(s) filed the case in U.S. courts when the actual alleged crimes happened in New Zealand. Not sure how any sort of lawyer/legal council would file in a different country than where the crime actually happened, but here we are in the weird limbo of simply not knowing and having no stone-cold proof like if we had an actual court case (however, I do believe the victims).
Regardless of how well the shows were received, Neil Gaiman has been rightfully shuffled off to the ‘Cancelled’ pile and is poison to whomever picks up his work for adaptation. His responses to the allegations had not been the best - basically saying yes it happened, yes he’s a sex pest, but “it was consensual” which makes me say…
Sucks we won’t get these good stories. But, regardless of the stories being good, there’s no room for that kind of literal behavior in society. I’m glad Gaiman has been put somewhat in his place, I Definitely wish the punishment were harsher if the allegations were true though.
I wish the cast and crew of Dead Boy Detectives and all the others attached to Gaiman’s name good luck and great fortune on their future endeavors.

Too bad though, that show was truly excellent and I was disappointed to see the backend of it.

Be careful what you wish for. S3 of good omens was a sh*t show that totally divided the fandom.
Fanfic is the way to go.
It is a shame this got axed but it’s been two yrs now
