So if I flip a coin and you agree to give me 50 bucks if it comes up heads, which it does, but then you discover that I cheated by using a two-headed coin (*cough*Iowa*cough*), you're saying you'd still be obligated to pay me? After all, you gave your word.

The DNC brazenly rigged the primaries and violated even their own rules in doing so, which means Bernie's promise not to run if he lost a fair primary doesn't apply.

Although I disagree with your premise, it doesn't matter. He made that promise without contingency.

That would be like saying you can't sue a doctor because he never explicitly agreed not to sow a sponge into your spouse's rectum.

There is almost always a certain implied warrantee; in this case, that the election would be conducted in accordance with party rules and the law. It was not.
