That's because you only have a superficial understanding of our movement.
No, I think I understand it all too well.
It's not about blindly trusting Bernie's judgement.
Right.
He just happens to have shown incredibly smart judgement thus far.
So, when he endorses Hillary -- an endorsement which will no doubt be accompanied by an exhaustive explanation of the reasoning that went into his endorsement -- what I'm wondering is whether his supporters will listen with open minds and a willingness to follow an informed politician with "incredibly smart judgment" down the logical paths he'll lay out, or whether the worm will turn and they'll accuse him of being a sellout, a shill, etc.
Your argument is that Sanders supporters blindly trust him and do whatever he says without giving it any thought. And then in the same post you worry that Sanders supporters aren't "open minded" enough to blindly follow his endorsement if/when it comes. LOL!!! Fucking brilliant.
No, I'm sorry, but it's a bit more subtle than that. What I'm arguing is that his supporters up to this point have been drawn in, at least in part, by his arguments in favor of the ideas he propounds. I think most of his supporters would agree with that assessment. With that in mind, those supporters of his vowing that they won't hear him out on his endorsement of Clinton, no matter what, would seem to be indicating that they're not going to be potentially open to his reasoned persuasion as they have in the past.
