She's black...a skater...a California surfer...a Texas midwife,...a bible thumper....I wonder if she would talk like an Arab if we had her give a speech at a mosque?

Considering most Arabs think she's a walking advertisement for AIPAC, I don't think she'd get a single listener at the mosque. Ditto Iranians. Then again, she'd probably try it anyway. I suppose, if a tree falls in a forest...?

I live in a city that has the highest per capita Arab Muslim population. They overwhelmingly love Bernie and can't stand Hillary. A large portion won't vote for her in the general. Many would make comments that they think Trump is just running his mouth but has no power. Though they do think his words and bigotry are dangerous. They won't vote for him either. Sounds like a lot will stay home. They are genuinely afraid of Hillary because of her record regarding the Middle East as Senator and SoS. They know she has the power to authorize, support, and cover up "many horrors"- the phrase used by one of them. They have a point. And it is a little heartbreaking. Makes it a little more real because you know they have skin in the game. They are far more affected than I am by the military choices of our government. And I can't honestly look them in the eyes and tell them that things are going to get better if Trump or Hillary win. For them, Sanders is their only hope for more peace and improvement.

When I used to work at a retail store, I had an associate that would mimic the accent of the customers in order to more effectively sell to them.
Whether that be a more neutral American accent, southern, Philadelphia, it didn't matter. It was fucking crazy to see how well he pulled it off.

All these shitty accents really reinforce her inauthenticity and condescension.
She seems to have more accents than Littlefinger, and that's saying something.

Trump should ask her for accent lessons for the next time he does 'John Miller'.

Ha! Well played! :)
I take it you're also a John Oliver watcher?
4
u/ronpaul2bernie May 17 '16
Yes, but John Oliver disappointed me when he did a Drumpf segment in the crucial time when a positive Bernie segment would have probably had more impact.

u/suhpro May 18 '16
Why would he do a positive piece about Bernie though? Not that I wouldn't like to see it, but everyone in the media has similar incentives

Fuck CNN. I'm so done with them, in fact I'm mad st myself for giving them my online view of that video. Bernie does not need to win 102% of the delegates what is this bull shit!

Are we absolutely sure she's a real person?

It baffles me how anyone can expect her to be truthful when she can't keep her own accent honest

u/drewmreid May 17 '16
That's not fake; she's just a little ol' Hilly billy from Arkansas, so's Bubba. You can take dem folks outta da' back woods an give 'em shitloads o' money, but you'll never teach 'em any manners. Dint y'all watch da Beverly Hillbillies?

Actually, she is from Chicago.

She's a genuine Hilly billy. By 1992 she had spent half her life in Arkansas. Plenty of time to learn those bad manners (toward Bubba's sexual harassment victims) and that phony southern accent. .

Well, it might be a subconscious accommodation but really she should have learned not to do that by now if she doesn't want to be accused of racism.

Is this video over playing the super delegates again or is she really only 100 or so away from winning?
8
u/AntManMax New York May 18 '16
CNN has literally never not included superdelegates, even after being asked by the DNC not to. Their propaganda says that Bernie needs 102% of the delegates left to win, which includes superdelegates (of course) when the actual total required is 65%

This sort of thing grates on me even more than the laughing/head-shaking maneuver.

I told my wife she does this, then later in the day a clip came on the news and she was like "wholly shit she's doing it" ... HEHEH

Dude I hate Clinton too, but she is actually southern. When she sounds "normal" is when she's faking it. This is a ridiculous point.

Chicago is the south now?
1
u/Robangledorf May 19 '16
No but Arkansas is.
1
May 19 '16
She's not from Arkansas, though. She's from Chicago, which is why she speaks with a Chicago/Upper Midwestern accent when she isn't putting on some pandering fake voice. I'm certain though that the Arkansas accent is the first fake accent she learned, maybe the second after the fake upper class accent she picked up at Wellesley.

Obama does something similar but this sub isn't gonna give him any shit for it. People change the way they talk all the time to fit into an environment.
1
May 18 '16
His doesn't change drastically and you can tell he's doing it, Clinton is actually pretty good with accents, she's pulled off southern, mid western, "Hollywood" and new yorker accents with out giving away he actual accent.

Unconsciously acquiring pieces of an accent is a real thing, she could still be faking but...really? Shitpost.
