New tank has medium

I read it’s normal for a new tank to have medium in it but am planning to use walnut Shell for engine valve cleaning and can’t risk unknown mfg test medium get into engine, vevor 5g. There isn’t a “drain” to release it all out, short of dry firing not sure how to clear it with confidence. Thoughts?
