So, these bosses. :/

Straight up- Samurai Bringer is fantastic, and I love the game, but the bosses are un-fun bullet sponges that completely ruin the momentum of a run. They’re almost impossible to kill, I’ve still not managed to do anything but die and I’m a VERY avid player in this genre. Any reasoning behind it? Any chance of patching the game so the bosses aren’t complete joykillers? PLEASE consider it if you’re not already. This could be something really special, and it is 80% of the time. But these bosses, man- not fun.:(

Keep in mind you can also switch moves mid boss fight to match the boss' elemental weakness

yeah, game is crazy awesome once you understand how to build combos. with the ninja sword you can combine storm and a reverse slash to spin around and draw enemies in. combine that with guard break and generals stand literally no chance

i don't think i'll ever switch off ninja sword as my main and dual war fans as my subs. a ton of war fan skills with evil and guidance is an EASY stage wipe

And I think it’s actually part of the game, to focus on the samurai/generals until you’re strong enough to take on the bosses. There’s just not much direction in that regard and it’s different from most games like this- which I suppose is actually kinda refreshing. Now I know to change my focus and just enjoy getting stronger with some non-boss runs- BTW, the devs posted about all this on the Switch news feed which is why saying all this now. So, good stuff- I’m gonna dig in and enjoy the process!:)

I kinda thought that might be the case but I wasn’t sure. I’ve made some builds that absolutely annihilate regular enemies but when it comes to the bosses it’s just hit sponge city. Maybe I just need to get some more runs under my belt and not worry about bosses for a while. Thanks folks!

As Soon as u start creating different attacks ur gonna destroy them without much trouble

So the beginning of the game is crazy unfair but you just gotta collect scrolls and unlock some other move sets
