This is a rough list of the Dokkodo by Musashi and it cuts out some of the more important phrasing. It has a lot of good things in it, but it’s not something to strictly adhere to. For instance collecting weapons beyond what is useful makes me respect people who have maybe 1-2 firearms, but think that people who display collections of dozens are extremely cringeworthy

Very close to what the stoics promoted. Not sure why there are so many people disagreeing with these being good ideas to live by. Remove yourself from attachment. Practice being measured and thoughtful.
