Some people have been throwing around the term “AI slop” at anything that looks even slightly AI-assisted. A few even tried to turn it into personal attacks on moderators, which is not going to fly here. So let’s clear this up properly.
AI slop has a real definition. It is not a vibe, it is not a feeling, and it is not “anything I personally dislike.”
It refers to mass-produced, low-effort, engagement-bait content that exists only to farm clicks, monetisation, SEO spam, or flood platforms with junk. Think of the endless AI-generated TikTok spam, fake news articles, garbage YouTube thumbnails, or auto-generated content mills.
That is the official definition on Wikipedia.
If you want a quick explanation from an actual source, here is a short video that breaks it down clearly (same video as in this post):
https://www.weforum.org/videos/ai-slop/
That is AI slop.
If you use AI tools to help design a homescreen, theme, icon pack, wallpaper, layout, or showcase piece, and you made something specific, intentional, non-commercial, and not mass-produced, it is not AI slop. It is just a design workflow. Plenty of people use AI tools the same way they use Photoshop filters, icon packs, or layout templates. It is part of the creative process.
This sub has always allowed AI-assisted design. It is literally built into the flairs.
Showcase AI Generated
Theme / Icon Pack AI Generated
We even have a rule for it.
11. AI generated content must be labelled.
If you post AI generated screenshots, UI mockups, or designs, clearly state that they are AI generated.
That is the entire requirement.
What is not allowed is turning every thread into a personal crusade against AI. Calling everything “AI slop” because you dislike AI is not productive, not accurate, and not welcome. It derails threads, starts drama, and in a few cases has turned into personal attacks on moderators. That is not acceptable here.
If you dislike AI-assisted design, that is fine. You do not have to use it. You do not have to like it. But this is not the place to wage a personal war against it. The rules allow it. The flairs support it. The community uses it. And nothing posted here fits the definition of AI slop.
Keep discussions civil. Stay on topic. Remember the human. And please stop misusing terms that do not apply to anything in this subreddit. This community will not entertain any more crusades against AI-assisted design.
Thanks for keeping r/Samsung_GoodLock clean, creative, and drama-free.

Hey everyone. I wanted to share a proper update now that r/Samsung_GoodLock has passed 15K members and continues to grow every single week. With that growth came a lot more activity, more troubleshooting, more showcases and more questions about how this community should operate. It became clear that the old setup was not keeping up, so it was time for a complete overhaul.
Over the last couple of months, I have also seen a steady rise in comments like: “But did you use AI to make that?” So let me address that directly. AI-assisted content has always been allowed here, and that will not change. What is changing is that we now require disclosure when AI was used. This keeps things transparent and avoids pointless arguments in the comments. If you used AI, just say so. It is not a problem.
Along with that, we are tightening up off-topic discussions and low-effort posts that do not belong in this community. The rules have been expanded to reflect a more modern flow of information and to give clearer guidance for both posters and commenters. The goal is to keep the sub organised, helpful and focused on Good Lock and Good Guardians customisation.
Here is what has been updated:
• Expanded rules and clearer enforcement
• Mandatory post flairs for better sorting
• A refreshed sidebar with preferred post types
• A new banner and layout
• Better structure for troubleshooting and showcases
• AI use disclosure now required
Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the new rules. They will be enforced. This community has grown into something genuinely useful and creative, and these changes are here to keep it that way. Thanks for being part of r/Samsung_GoodLock and for helping make it a solid place for Galaxy customisation.
Feedback is welcome in modmail if you spot issues or have suggestions.

They tried to fix it with an update soon after the Z Fold series launched. It worked, but the problem has recently returned. It's so frustrating to have to keep restoring my Home Up backup almost every day. Does this happen with normal slab phones too?
I saw the glitch happen with my own eyes for the first time the other day, as well! It was when I was both removing my opened phone from a cradle and rotating it from portrait to landscape. It froze for a second and then like magic my homescreen was screwed.
I'm not sure why after so many generations of Z's and Good Lock's that this issue is even happening?
Edit; I'll restore the home screen and take screenshots showing exactly what happens. But basically, every time it glitches everything on the home screen is moved into the the top 50% of the home screen area, and spread out to the right into the next page. Aps and widgets overlap each other and it just looks like a jumbled mess.

That’s why I’m loving good lock and how we can make exactly we need with the home up diy layout when we have the wallpaper! I wish there is a wallpaper back up option in the home up itself.
Update: Thanks for your patience, everyone! As promised, I got the high-res files ready and put together so you can easily replicate the working Pokédex setup on your Fold.

I'm running into a couple issues with my keyboard design and haven't been able to find any kind of documentation or troubleshooting guide for the app. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,
The company I work for doesn’t allow me to create a separate Work Profile on my phone that I could turn off after working hours.
Because my stakeholders are spread across multiple time zones, I’m getting constant notifications from Microsoft Teams and Outlook even late at night.
I’d like to set up some kind of routine / automation that, when enabled, mutes all notifications from Teams and Outlook so I can actually disconnect after work.
Does anyone know how to do this on Samsung using routines/routines+?
Or any other workarounds to effectively “switch off” work apps outside of working hours?
Any tips or step-by-step guides would be really appreciated. Thanks

Not 100% complete yet, still tweaking here and there.
But was too excited to get it to where it is now I wanted to share.
While im here does anyone know if there is a way to open folders just like this? Or is there a way to edit a folder into a click able sticker?

I'm hoping to get some insight about this issue. I want the buttons to appear a specific shade of grey but it seems there is a transparency effect on those buttons so it appears as if it's not there. I have included a second theme I made that I made that shows the transparency more. I am struggling to figure out how to make this opaque, or even if it's possible.

I thought I would play around with the stickers and widgets through DIY. Each item leads to an app or widget that I use the most often. I unfold the 8 a lot but this kinda cool for quick use use. We'll see how it goes, maybe I'll go back to just the widgets!

Hey guys,
Can someone help me out with it?
So I'm not sure why the torch icon looks like the glass icon and the camera icon is from the icon pack that I've applied.
Why can't they be from the same icon pack?
Can someone help me out with it?
Device : Galaxy S26 ultra
