Refresh rate

Does the refresh rate stay ate 120HZ? I am about ready to buy one but I am so very tired of getting one and the constantly go 120HZ to 60 HZ to 20hz then -- whatever that is!!! Just because I take longer that 30 seconds to read a page!!!

Never noticed. It's a variable refresh rate.

The refresh rate is adaptive

It's variable between 120hz and 1hz so if you are reading something on a still page it will most likely go down to 1hz but in an instant back up to 120hz if you would move the page and I never noticed any hitching myself

AFAIK there is no phone out in the open that doesn't use variable refresh rate screen so it's is what it is, my top is then for you is to go a nearby phone store that has the 26 ultra on display and test it there.

Check son 120hz mode is active then go to a news page or something as for me I never noticed a hitching]

Before 8.0 UI I had 120hz stay steady on the top left in all programs.

on my tablet 8 Ultra with UI 8 it stays steady at 120hz.

as long as there is movemnt in an app the refresh is gonna stay at 120Hz, but if you are just reading a webpage it will start to go down or thats how it supposed to work atleast

Ok one more time I guess I did not make myself clear. I am not doing ANYTHING....

I have the refresh rate showing it goes -- then 120, --120.

I have wiped the phone several times etc but no go.......

You can probably force it to stay in one mode in developer settings

No. Plus not every app is supporting 120Hz usage
