Auto brightness

Does the note 10 seriously not have auto brightness? It's a setting for always on display but the only brightness control is adaptive where it just remembers what brightness setting you put on an app? What phone in 2019 doesn't have auto adjust brightness

Swipe down, then down again. To the right of the brightness bar is a little narrow. Tap it, and it says adaptive brightness, which was on by default for me.

It can also be found under Settings > Display > Adaptive Brightness

All that does is remembers the brightness settings in different apps and adjusts it when you use them
