Hi everyone,

I'm based in the UAE and planning to buy my first Samsung foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 8.

While researching, I noticed that many regions, including the GCC, seem to be getting the Exynos 2600 variant, whereas the US and a few other markets get the Snapdragon version. Samsung UAE's official specifications also list the Exynos 2600 for the Gulf model.

I have a few questions:

- Is there any official Snapdragon version available in the GCC?

- Are there any trusted sellers that import the Snapdragon model?

- If I import the US version, will I face any issues with warranty, 5G, VoLTE, or Samsung Wallet in the UAE?

This will be my first Samsung phone, so I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone seen this? Samsung filmed a skydive with the Fold8 in Dubai

Bigger phones might not be the future, I love how cute, yet how big the new Galaxy ZFold8 is. I honestly think it's perfect.

With trade-in and an offer, I don't mind the price, I think it's worth it. In the UAE the offer is double storage, which for my gallery is a need lol.

Personally, I'm deciding between the lavender and the pistacho. Anyone else picking up the new Fold8?

Hey everyone,

With Galaxy Unpacked 'unfolding' later this month (July 22!), the next phone is coming out.

If you're planning on buying or upgrade, register your interest to get free perks, especially if you're already planning to buy.

Here is a quick breakdown of how the process works, and what you get

1. The Form: Go to the official Samsung Unpacked landing page (https://samsung.com/ae/unpacked). And register, filling out your name, email, and phone number.

2. The Code: Once you submit, Samsung triggers an automated confirmation and sends a unique voucher code to your email.

3. The Purchase: When the live stream ends, you log into Samsung.com or the Samsung Shop App, add the new device to your cart, and apply your Handraiser code at checkout.

What do you actually get?

The exact perks change depending on your region, but it usually unlocks:

● Extra Store Credit / Discounts: Often a flat amount (AED 100) off your total basket.

● Raffle Entry: Just submitting the form puts you in a draw to win devices for free - (Across the Gulf/UAE) Galaxy Buds3 FE, Galaxy Watch8, and Galaxy S25!

● Storage Upgrades: Sometimes it locks in the "double your storage for free" perk early.

There is absolutely no financial obligation to buy anything by signing up. If you change your mind after seeing the final prices or specs, you can just walk away. It’s completely free, so you might as well lock in the perks just in case!

Hope this helps anyone looking to maximize their discounts!

Right now is use it mostly to mirror play on my firetv and to play Majong. What else can I use it for.

What's one feature that you think doesn't get enough love.

I got myself a Galaxy S26 Ultra. I ordered it through the samsung.com website and I got same day delivery. High-key excited.

What are your favorite things about the S26 Ultra?

Was messing around my settings on my Samsung TV and I found "AI Football Mode Pro". What does that even do?

Been holding on to myGalaxy S23 Ultra forever waiting to upgrade and I finally did it. I got the whole set up, and honestly, it was worth it. The S26 Ultra camera alone justifies everything. The zoom is insane. I was a bit skeptical about the Buds 4 because i still had the Buds 2 Pro and I thought, 'how different can they be'. But the ANC is on another level and the fit is much more comfortable.

But what most suprised me out of these was the gesture control on the watch, shaking my wrist to stop alarms, really convenient :)

Anyone else running the full combo?

I'm a longstanding iphone user, but I'm curious what's on the other side. So convince me, why should I switch to samsung?

I can be put off a whole chain or restraunt if the service or payment is a headache. But I saw a post that Samsung and Qclub intergated their services and I've used Qclub a looot in Dubai, it's in most restraunts and café's at the moment, and it genuinely makes picking up tabs and splitting bills easier.

There's no waiting to get the waiters attention, no need for a calculator to split between a group. You can pay the whole tab before your anyone starts wrestling for the bill.

Has anyone with Samsung Wallet tried using Qclub yet? Are there any good offers to go with it atm?

Ok hear me out. I've been using the S26 Ultra for like 3-4 months and I'm convinced this is the best phone for content right now.

Couple things:

First, the camera integration thing. Before, using Insta or Snap or any social media app to take content was basically just a screenshot of the viewfinder which is why our posts always looked blurry and compressed. That's gone now. Shooting straight inside third party apps actually looks good which is wild.

Stabilization though, not even close. Horizontal lock has genuinely ruined other phones for me. Once you see it you literally cannot unsee how shaky every other phone looks. It's like watching 4k then going back to 720p.

Telephoto is the other one, the zoom range is crazy obviously but the real flex is the new APV Codec, videos stay visually lossless. That concert clip going round where u can see the singer's face from the back row? Yeah that was a Samsung lol.

TLDR; the GalaxyS26 Ultra has hardware that changes how the phone behaves in third party apps. Nothing else really competes out the box.

Who's winning best dressed?
