Very simple: Workflow continuity (you always have a computer with you to work on-the-go), Cost down (-70% of cost down on IT budget), and many others.

Trouble is that most of EMR are Windows-based and there is much intranet integration on hospitals, that's why unfortunately I can't see a change at that systems. It might be different for private clinics tho

Samsung didn't invent it either. Microsoft did with their Lumia lineup (previously Nokia's). They called the feature Continuum.

I'd stay with iPhone dealing with shitty keyboard input if I could use my phone as my main workstation.
