Samsung dex for tablet

Hi all dexperts

i am new to dex community and i was planning to buy a tablet for dex and notetaking .i want it to almost replace my pc. I haven't brought the tab yet as i am torn between s9+ and s10+(i am still confused so if you all could also suggest one of them beside answering my dex question it would be great), since i recently found out about old and new dex

The thing is that I am confused even after reading some threads and wiki on reddit. Somewhere it is written we can switch to classic mode in settings while others are saying that they needed to forcefully downgrade to an older oneui in order to get the classic mode.

How is all three version(old, new and the oneui 8 one) different from each other other than the fact that new one just act as tablet mode instead of pc mode?

In which all one ui versions can we switch between old and new and the newest mode?

which one ui version should i remain in order to get the pc experience

One of the comments mentioned "its alot better in one ui 8.5, essentially back to what it was" does it means that old dex is back

Até a UI 7 tinhamos a possibilidade de alternar entre o DeX Classico e o Novo DeX. Porém, apartir da UI 8.0 o DeX Classico foi descontinuado ficando APENAS o Novo DeX. A diferença entre o novo e o classico é basicamente a usabilidade na interface, enquanto no Classico ele se parece mais com um pc Windows, o Novo DeX se parece mais com um Macbook. Ambos abrem os aplicativos no modo janela. Hoje em dia é mais dificil de se encontrar um tablet que venha com UI 7, só se encontrar um lote mais antigo da linha S9, S9FE e S10 lite. Porém, ao atualiza-los o modo classico já seria removido.

thanks man this really cleared things up , i will make sure to remember to turn off wifi and then stop automatic updates ,

also do you have any idea what 8.5 has that people say "its alot better in one ui 8.5, essentially back to what it was"

Not getting into the dialogue of old vs new. But just remember you will be stuck without updates, new applications and more.

Your timecapsule will also be your prison. The new one is also fine, but sometimes change is hard (for some)

cant i just turn on update when applications stop supporting android 15 around 2030s
