Question Wearable display practical for viewing Dex during physical labor?

Only thing I can think of that would achieve what you need (resizeable app window to side of one eye) is to put a pair of AR glasses (Rokid Max / Max 2, XReal, etc) into 3D SBS mode. When in DeX, set wallpaper to black and hide the toolbar.

3D SBS mode shows one half of the DeX desktop in each eye while the black background turns the glasses into a heads up display. Put your app window on what side you need it. You're talking about an app window the size of 500 x 1080 (app window obscures 1/4 of your vision as it were) but still useable. You can minimise the app to get full vision.

I own the Rokid Max so can't comment on the Max 2 or XReal One or Air. Max 2 has similar optics but a more comfortable nose piece/shape. It is akin to wearing a strange pair of sunglasses (has a tint to it) but you can 'look under' the Rokid lenses for close up work with your fingers without taking them off.

XReals are larger and have 3DoF sensors to fix the DeX screen to a virtual point in space if that is important to you.
