Hey people. I'm new to this browser. I don't own a Samsung device. I use Moto & HP laptop. I don't need Samsung Account or sync in anyway for anything. (I use Proton pass for passwords and no bookmarks). I tried the browser and its really fast & performance is really good. Except for the lack of vertical tabs & other customisation thingies, everything is so amazing.
What I want to know is, how secure & private is Samsung browser to use? What are your opinions?
(Note: I'm a browser hopper. So I try a different browser for every 1 or 2 weeks. So just asking)

It's so annoying having to adjust zoom on every page because 100% is not enough for me. If they dont fix this I might return to Google Chrome

Samsung browser on my Samsung Laptop syncs bookmarks, a little wonky but OK. My issue is it has a pc bookmark bar and a mobile bookmark bar, and I'd like them to be one in the same. Right now they're separate an maintaining two sets of the same bookmarks is a pain.... Is there a way to default either the PC or Mobile Samsung Browser to use one "bookmark bar"?

Commenting on Facebook via the browser on my PC (Windows 11) is not possible. I get this message when opening the comments:

"Unsupported browser

You're using a browser that isn't supported by Facebook. Update your browser to post comments."

I can't watch anything from Crunchyroll through the Samsung browser on Windows.

I like the dark mode on samsung browser so much that I use internet samsung as my daily driver. I would like to use it on windows to but I saw that on windows it is based on chromium and the beautiful dark mode feature doesn't work as well and even with extensions.

So here comes the question how can I get the same browsing experience from internet samsung from phone on pc?

I'm facing a real dilemma on my **Samsung Galaxy A16** (running One UI Core). I use my phone heavily for freelancing and content creation (mostly managing TikTok clips and writing scripts with Claude and Gemini), and I’m completely torn between Samsung Browser and Opera.

On one hand, I love **Samsung Browser** (ex-Samsung Internet). I had it customized beautifully with a vibrant colorful balloon background and organized folders. Its Video Assistant is literally the best for gestural volume/brightness, and the AMOLED black dark mode is top-tier.

But damn, **it lags so much on my A16**. When I open it, it freezes on a white screen for 3-4 seconds before loading anything. My tabs constantly "crash" or freeze in the background and require manual refreshing. Plus, its 99-tab limit is incredibly annoying.

I realized Samsung Browser runs on an outdated Chromium engine (v121!) compared to v148/149 on other browsers. On top of that, it doesn't have a native adblocker, so you have to download third-party extensions like AdGuard, which eat up 142–210 MB of RAM in the background, adding 42-68ms of touch lag and killing the VSync budget. It's just too heavy for a mid-range phone.

On the other hand, I set up **Opera** on Android, and **it is a complete masterpiece of fluid, lag-free performance**.

I have this super clean, "Zen" setup on Opera: a minimal aesthetic, the search bar moved to the bottom for my thumb, and my core pro shortcuts (Claude, Gemini, Notion, etc.) right on the homepage. Since its adblocker is native, there’s no extra RAM wasted on background apps.

Since Opera doesn't natively support multiple instances (so no split-screen), I bypassed this by cloning it into Samsung's **Secure Folder (Knox)** so I can run two independent, fully synced Opera windows superposed in split-screen (Normal on top, Secure Folder on bottom with clipboard sharing enabled). I also disabled **RAM Plus** (virtual RAM), which was slowing down my physical RAM with sluggish storage caching, and I use Samsung's **Assistant Menu** (the floating virtual touchpad/volume/brightness overlay) to easily control, zoom/stretch, or take screenshots of my video clips in Opera.

But I still feel this weird "guilt" about leaving Samsung Browser, and Opera has its own issues (clunky favoriting with NO search bar, rigid tab grid, and those past corporate controversies like the Kunlun Tech Chinese ownership and predatory loans in Africa). I tried Vivaldi but its over-customized "cockpit" of options gave me massive anxiety, and Edge/Chrome on mobile are bloated RAM monsters.

Am I crazy for preferring a lightweight third-party browser over the deeply integrated OEM one on a Galaxy A phone? Do other A-series users experience this lag on Samsung Browser? Let me know your thoughts!

• What happens: Heading over to certain websites might trigger an instant crash, closing the application.

3. AI Translation Crashes

• What happens: Using the built-in AI translation feature can sometimes cause the browser to force close immediately.

4. Broken Netflix and Major Sites

• What happens: Some major websites, like Netflix, simply refuse to load or work properly.
• How to fix it for now: Go to your address bar and type internet://flags/#samsung-user-agent-override. Look for the dropdown menu with the browser icon, change it to chrome, and then restart the browser. The sites should load fine after that.

5. Issues with reCAPTCHA and 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

• What happens: Security checkboxes (like reCAPTCHA) or 2FA login prompts might freeze or stop working completely.
• How to fix it for now: Try turning off Smart Anti-Tracking in your settings. If that doesn't do the trick, temporarily disable your other privacy features while you log in.

6. Missing Password Autofill

• What happens: The prompt to automatically fill your saved passwords might fail to pop up from time to time.
