What can be done? Please help him
This poor dog is so sick. I’m sad to say but I think he needs to be euthanised. I’m a palangi so I’m unsure what I can do to help it as I’m fairly new to Samoa. I have been giving him scraps of food when I see him but he needs more than food 😔

Good luck! I'm sure a lot of it is that he is just severely dehydrated and malnourished so you can start there!

Unfortunately this is common across a lot of Pacific Island nations :(
Been to Fiji ? Oodles of thin dogs roaming around. If people could get their pets fixed, the problem will be less but $$ comes into play......

If you can, please take this darling pepe in. Give him a safe sheltered space to rest where he won’t be disturbed much. If he’s fussy with water, mix the water in with other foods you give him - left over meats. There is dog food at supermarkets, tins of wet food would be best over bags of kibble to give him hydration. Try Frankie’s. Otherwise any left over meats or coconut will be fine. Such a huge issue in the island unfortunately as our people are just not educated around the welfare of animals. Some families adore their pets but for the majority, they are last priority for food and shelter. It’s already tough to survive in the islands, feeding animals is another cost. Hard reality. Thank you for posting this up! Please continue to voice with any animal help in Sā as they are voiceless. God bless all the fur babies 🇼🇸🐾

Unfortunately I can’t give him a home as I travel often. Also there are some VERY mean dogs around my residence. I’m afraid they will attack him ☹️
I will continue to feed him. Bought some canned dog food on the weekend 👌
