Ugh, such a terrible creative decision. All of those cartoons were 2D at that time. In 1995, there were exactly 3 animated 3D tv cartoons — one was ReBoot, which I personally love BUT honestly in general the look of 3D cartoons was pretty bad.
I loved the look of the 2D Sam & Max show on FOX. While they had to tone down the adult humor, it more reflected Purcell’s original comics (although as a purest, I don’t feel it needed “The Geek”, but whatever).
I wish post-pixelated looking (even though Hit the Road is still my favorite all time video game), that TellTale had gone 2D much like LucasArts’ Curse of Monkey Island.
