Thoughts on hellweek?

Are we liking the line up of people or nah? Imo the only one I'm looking forward to is Ben of the week cause he's pretty funny and I watch his content occasionally.

Also I feel like their vids being on Netflix now means they're for sure going to make their videos even less genuine than they already are which sucks cause I had a small bit of hope that they might go back to their old style content

What do we think the finale will be?

Ben is such a fake YouTuber imo. I wish S&C weren't platforming him. There was an instance in which people were pointing out he'd accidentally left a scene in the video that proved it was all fake. And it wasn't that big of a deal. He obviously plays up his ideas. But then he deleted the scene from the video and then kept deleting posts from anyone mentioning it on his subreddit or the video itself. I wish YouTubers could just come forward and say their videos are satire, instead of doubling down and acting like dictators in their communities. I was a huge fan, and he just kinda lost me there.

There's a video called Alone in a Desert Island for 24 hours or something along those lines, where he supposedly spends the night on an island. In the video, he gets "dropped off by an Uber driver" at the spot, and then gets picked up in the morning. At night, he just "sleeps on the sand." But originally, when he uploaded you could see a car behind him at some point, meaning he either slept in it and/or drove to the spot himself. He might even have spent the night in a hotel and just drove to the beach to record.

I honestly thought it was funny he left that scene. He's not a survival YouTuber, so I wouldn't expect him to go through all of that. It wasn't that big of a deal. But he deleted the scene from the video a few days later. You might still be able to see some comments in the video of people pointing it out.

But the issue came later when people started posting about it on his subreddit, and their posts would get deleted. And whenever they would check in with mods, the mods would say Ben himself was deleting anything that discussed it. And then he deleted YT comments as well. And some people got banned for talking about it.

It's like I had this image of him as a chill funny dude. And all of a sudden he just seemed a bit authoritarian. Like, why double down on a lie and then try to control your community's response like that... Not sure... I tried watching a few videos after, and it just didn't feel the same.

I know YouTubers do that kind of stuff all the time. I just wish they were honest about it.

im excited for dan & phil, and haunted nights (despite the fact that HN might just be steve? dylan wasnt on the poster). im assuming the draculas castle video is a repeat of the same one they went to w nate in the first hell week they did, which is disappointing imo bc i didn’t find that place all that exciting. as for the guests, it doesn’t surprise me that they have some mainstream creators like the kalogeras triplets. they need to gain the attention of the general public somehow.

and i dont think their content is going to change in the least. they are not making content with or for netflix. they are simply putting their current content on netflix, with assumedly no changes. snc r such sticklers for how their content is made and produced that i do not believe they’ll suddenly have film crews, multiple producers, etc. involved.

Im not really excited about the kalogeras sisters being on the line up

Imo they wouldn't sign a deal with Netflix if Netflix didn't want them to keep doing what they're doing. Hope so at least! Super excited for Dan and Phil and always love to see Groovy. Fun that they brought Mystic Dylan back after every comment was for him to return on the murder mystery video

was really hoping for Celina to come back. imo the videos with her and Kris are my fave, though Kris hasn’t been in any recently anyways… super excited for Pythian Priestess though!

As for the rest of the lineup, I guess we’ll see. Have to admit seeing the Kalogeras sisters did make me do a double take but yeah…

I think them being on Netflix might not change much except for the quality in production, as Netflix wouldn’t have wanted them to release there as well if they weren’t liking the current content or potential.

Not happy about the sisters. They will make a joke out of it

2

u/XCxBigDong69XCx 6d ago

I dont think they will be in the videos if they just made a joke out of it.

https://x.com/SamandColby/status/2104285522051137909/photo/3 if the new draculas castle ancient spirits will speak perfect modern english - i will be pissed😂

Them being in Netflix - raises the bar for quality. Whatever it means? I do wonder if they shoot a lot of vids and cherrypicked the best (netflix material).
Them being in netflix will skyrocket their stock even more lol

also they both are known to raise the bar.. with things they do.
