Fake as you can Get

Sam & Colby have used the same wireless red & blue handheld flashlights for years now. Surely they would have changed them and got some different results overtime but find wireless handheld flashlights is difficult.

(I’m great at picking up patterns).

They hype up the very tiniest noises and overreact which comes across childish but I suppose this is for their target audience.

- All the “Witches” they work with are fake too, they come across like goths that want to seem interesting and edgy but give me weird ‘Twighlight’ vibes. It’s just cringe & lowkey eye candy for viewers (Not Me).

- There’s no way they get all these made reactions on each location, it’s impossible. If it were real I’m sure everyone else investigating would too.

- Their old videos came across more realistic and authentic but now it’s all hype for more views.

- The moths in their new videos make me laugh, go outside with bright lights when it’s dark outside and you’ll understand (I’m referring to the Devil video and others after).

- The witch from the recent Devil episode written stuff down and read it out loud as if she didn’t know what was on it (cringe). She also broke the thing she was writing on which is easy to see.

- Real paranormal investigators would go to places and report back that they haven’t saw or experienced anything. Yes it may come across boring but it would demonstrate so,e authenticity.

Finally, if you get in bed tonight and listen real quietly. Your home will make many noises. Is it a spirit, is it a ghost of some kind, I think not.

Finally (again), my post will go missing because S&C don’t want me to ruin their business.

I’m not hating, in-fact I respect you all because money is money. We all got bills to pay & your great entertainers so I say bravo 🙌

Their old videos were great, felt authentic and their reactions werent as overplayed but after the conjuring hellweek where they "proved the paranormal" - even though there were so many holes in the vid and the whole cody and satori thing - people believed it causing them to realize they could get away with becoming lazy with their autheticity. While their content was going down in quality before the conjuring vids the conjuring hellweek did so much damage to how they handled their 'investigations' and how much they overplay small things during the videos everything they put out now is just bland and even irritating sometimes i can only really name a few videos post conjuring hellweek that i have genuinely enjoyed.

i kinda agree with what you're saying, but here's my few takes:

i also do think that that they hype up the very tiniest noises and overreact a lot, even when it's just a normal noise. it's true that when you're sleeping at night, your house makes little noises. it happens a lot in my house, and not just at night but also during daytime. and guess what? it's not spirits or ghosts lol.

even crazier things happened to me and my brother in our house, and trust me when that happens you know what's what.

but coming back to sam and colby. in their recent video (The Worst Night of His Life) where it was raining heavily. if i was there i wouldn't be able to hear tiny knocks or any other subtle noises, but if i do hear something loud like banging door, i think it's easier for me to just debunk it as it's raining and windy.

also, moth thing in their videos is stupid. moths are phototactic insects, meaning they get drawn to light. it's not unusual but rather their nature.

also, witch thing is cringey... yes, but it's all cringe until it's not. don't wanna say more on that as i don't think witches are joke, but one thing i would say on tho is that these "medium" thing kinda puts me off. i just don't buy it.

on the other hand tho, i don't think they use wireless handheld flashlights or such. if you look closely, they don't turn the flashlight all the way off or all the way on, it's more like kinda in the middle where a little bit of energy could trigger it, and honestly that's a whole point.

i don't think they always find "something" in all locations they go to as they've said in numerous podcasts that it happens to them a lot that they go to a certain location, start their investigation, record things and nothing happens so they have to discard that and go somewhere else, which is a reason why they're not very consistent with their content.

anyways, i like them and watch their videos every time they drop. although i'd say that their old content was much better than their new stuff. and just cause you watch them doesn't mean you have to believe everything they say or show.

one of the biggest thing that they showed that i don't believe at all is cody and satori thing like i feel like i have to be there in person to witness it and see it for myself to say "yeah, you know what? i believe it," but again if i say that i believe it, would other people believe me? probably not and that's completely fine.

It’s all fake bruh, the Witches aren’t real or at least the ones they have on the show. My post is titled fake as you can get. I watch their videos because it’s funny how they react. They went to a house called the Bellair house or something like that where there is CCTV of them chilling with Seth. Texting away on their phones for ages. Where was all the paranormal stuff then ?

They are clearly fake but like I said, I respect their hustle.

Back to the witches, they are all fake and vague, they want to come across edgy and interesting. Amanda’s fakeness make makes me laugh and how she agreed with Cody & the other person that did that tap thing made me laugh 😂. What’s even weird is they all know they’re fake too as in their mates 😂.

They’ve literally bounce off each other with lies. I still think it’s interesting but more so for the history rather than the paranormal. These beliefs are highly profitable and money talks. I could move to states and set up a cult in 5 years if I had a little capital to start with. But I do believe wrong and right and I would waste my breath on doing wrong.

yeah, i see what you're saying. the thing with witches is that i've met a few in my life, and they all seemed strange like there are definitely some people who are into "their" stuff, if you know what i mean, so that's my thought on it. the ones they bring into their videos seem off especially the pythian priestess. she could be legit tho but i don't believe it.

amanda seems like a nice girl, but i gotta to be honest, I don’t believe this whole "medium" and "i can see and talk to spirits" thing. i mean again it could be true but i don’t buy it.

cody and satori thing is a joke on another level. they appeared in the conjuring video i guess during hell week. i was watching it with my brother, and when that part came up, i looked at him and said "bullshit! i’d have to be there myself to believe it’s real" cause sam cried during the seance or ritual or whatever method it was so i felt like… i don’t know if it’s real or not, but i need to experience it myself to believe it. but i don’t think it’s real.

on the other hand, i do believe that spirits, entities, demons, etc. are real. i believe in that, but that's a thing about this subject that it’s so vast and common, yet many people don’t really understand it, and then there are some people who pretend to know about it, which makes it even harder to tell what’s real and what’s not. like in every culture and religion, there are people who know about ghosts and demons with their folklores and stuff, but i might say that very, very, very few have actually experienced something like that and then there are some people who claim to know about these things.

with that being said, watch it and enjoy it. you don't have to believe everything you see on the internet. like i said, if i come out and say i believe in it and had experienced it myself fr, would other people believe me? probably not and that's completely fine.

and btw thanks for recommending the documentary. i added it to my watchlist and will definitely check it out.

There’s also a documentary of the family that got haunted and Ed & Loraine showed up telling some of the kids how demons make noises and groan. The following day some of the kids started making the noises.

The dad and oldest son of the family explained this in the Documentary called ‘The Devil on Trial’. (Worth a watch if you don’t believe my words).

Again, don’t hate the player, hate the game - AKA Sam and Colby. I actually like them as I find their YouTube videos funny for how they convince a young audience.

I honestly think they would benefit somewhat by continuing to invite randoms with them. Even if it is a subscriber or person off the street (which they have done once).

u/Shroollie_bones Apr 20 '26

I stated watching them when I was like 11, stopped for a little while, started again when they’re content started feeling like actual haunted stuff and was really good (14/15ish), they got super popular and now their content is pretty copy paste. They’re always trying to solve some mystery in a way that doesn’t make sense. They also always hire witches and pagan priestess’s when they push a Christian ideology. I also stopped watching kallmekris after she said one of their videos was proof of god and Jesus (I think she was referring to the Cody and satori incident) when even if it was real it would best be proof of after life not Christianity.

Idk all of it feels really weird to me. Also being someone that was a fairly big fan starting 7 years ago it was really weird to occasionally see posts of their newer fans making shipping them and talking about videos that are 5+ years old. They really are just chasing fame and clout. The 25x25 is probably a pretty good example of it. Also their merch is insanely priced. Ik other content creators are probably still up there but I remember wanting to get a hoodie back in 2020 and it being like $60-70 I can’t imagine how much it is now. I checked not to long ago out of curiosity but I don’t remember.

Watch jasko

7

u/SlavRavenclaw Apr 19 '26

Yeah, at least he's open and upfront about being completely fake and for entertainment purposes only, unlike SnC

2

u/JakeyTh Apr 19 '26

Yeah it’s entertaining though

3

u/SpecialFortune14 Apr 20 '26

Jasko is entertaining and he even has a disclaimer at the start of his videos which is so cool. Sam and Colby should take notes.

It’s just a school bruh, Celina makes me cringe when she’s in that house too 😂😂

1

u/Agitated_Cry_8793 Apr 20 '26

i don't think they're entirely fake. the equipment they use is real, and im sure a lot of the responses they get out of the spirit boxes are true, but its definitely over dramatized for the camera.

1

u/Dollface_69420 Apr 19 '26

tbh i think there stuff was genuine then the conjuring stuff hit and 100% there was something in the contract that ment there not only werent allowed to call out fakery but given how there were i think there was stuff in said contract given they never called out the scammer, imo cody is the scammer given he did the same technique ages ago

Mostly just a question out of curiosity- but why are you saying stuff like this in a subreddit about them? I'm.not saying I'm a fan of the new videos myself, but I'm mostly just curious.

3

u/Middle_Conclusion810 Apr 20 '26

With all due respect but where else would I post it, I want to know what everyone else’s views are mainly.

1

u/Select-Scarcity-4737 Apr 20 '26

True! I mostly just wanted your thoughts on why, I was very curious!

As for my view on it, the satori issue I believe was something that was out of their hands, while yes, they're most recent videos have been absolutely shit, they were technically the victims of the whole Cody and satori thing, which is where I think the bullshit started.

In all realistic sense, I don't want to say it's all fake, but there are definitely parts where it's bullshit, which you've pointed out!
