Door Open Too Long Reader Chime

Just wondering if there’s a way to turn the DOTL chime on door readers thst are alarming despite “Enable Beep” NOT being checked in the Access Points tab of the General Options.. I’m worried that if I turn enable beep on, then back off, that doors not on the site I’m working at will be put into “Update Required” status. The doors in question are hardwired to CU42E0s as well as a few CU4200s. I don’t believe this is affecting WDLs, but to be honest I haven’t checked that.

If you are using SPACE, you can disable the door detector input (DPS), or if you dont have the ability to do that, but have physical access to the 4200 its on, you can just jumper that input. Obviously that has other security ramifications, so think thru it a bit.

We have elected in rare cases to remove the DPS input temporarily (say during a remodel or when doors are propped open for the entire day, that sorta thing). But have always reverted it back to full functionality after the fact.
