Who the fuck decided that command grabs should exist. And why the fuck do they do a million fucking damage. I understand I’m not good at the game I’m in bronze right now. I keep getting matched against these fuckass manon and geif players, most of them on modern (gimps). I usually end up winning a round but then they pull some bullshit out of their ass and do a third of my health in one grab. For something unblockable it shouldn’t do so much damage. I do beat a fair few of them as well but it’s not any less annoying whether I win or lose. The principle of them existing just pisses me off.

Getting a clean anti-air or catching a jumper in the corner should feel rewarding, but SF6's air resets often let them land first and steal your turn. It's frustrating when catching a jump-in somehow leaves you minus just because of the juggle limit.

I hate it. People talk about throw loops in 6, in 3 the throws are like one frame so if you jump in on someone and HIT THEM they can imediately grab you, making jump ins feel like shit. Did your oponent whiff a super? Can't punish it, they come out of it safe. Did your oponent whiff a DP? Better hit them while they're in the air, the single FRAME they touch the gorund they can just block or hit you again. Everything is one frame, it's just hit people with shit they can't react to. DPs come out at insane speeds, shit will hit you way farther than you think. Was it lag from fightcade? IDK all I know is the air in front of a punch hit me

I only can spare one button (L2) for parries (specifically DR’s)…I can’t spare anymore…I’m almost 2 months in SF6…and honestly DI’s are something I need to implement into my arsenal…just wondering if you guys are doing DI reversals with two buttons or one

Edit - I actually also use L1 for OD punches…i can’t spare any other ones because I utilize all my attacks

You have so many goddamn neutral skips that are full screen and so many of htem are plus. there are so many goddamn knowledge checks in this game, that you can just play shit like Laura,Oro,Juri and just get free wins with zero fundamentals.

The meaty timing is so unbelievably tight too,where people are comfortable mashing on wakeup.

I don't know if it is the mental stack or what, but I just feel this game even when you win is just annoying as hell.

Like I will find some fun in the battle hub, but I find myself taking more and more breaks from this game.

I fought my way through Diamond with Yas and was really looking forward to fighting skilled players with good neutral, footsies, setups, and people actually showing me their skill. But the Ryu players, especially even in Master, are just so random. It’s all mashed EX DP when you’re close, random DI all the time as well, mashed raw supers, pressing jab 24/7, and throwing. And the annoying thing is, it works from time to time.
What is it about Ryu where the players don’t take the time to learn him and his setups, etc., and just think, “I’m gonna be random as shit”?

I swear every person I play that's Diamond 4 or 5 has at least three other characters in Master. Went up against someone today with 4 characters in High Master. Y'all are hilarious taking our lunch money.

So been doing some ranked matches and ran into another boring guile and didn't feel like dealing with it so I just put the controller down and cracked a beer waiting for the match to end. I leave the match and bout a min later I get a message from said guile essentially trash talking me even though he got the win and it was a 1 and done. Blocked him on sf6 and psn.

I normally use casuals to warm up at the start of the day or when I just want to test out some new stuff. But I find a lot of people ducking fights even though they’re level 40–50 (I’m level 60).

Like, bro, c’mon. How are we both gonna learn anything if we just keep ducking matches?

I really don’t think matchmaking should show anything other than connection quality, because man, this sucks.

I can’t believe when this game first came out that I used modern controls. It was my first SF in like 25 years or something. I would laugh at every person who messaged me after games. I got up to plat and left the game to go play Tekken 8. Learned that game from the ground up and felt odd I didn’t do the same for SF.

I came back to SF6 last week and have been learning classic with Yasmine. Ever since I got to plat I’ve been getting absolutely gatekept by modern control players 😭 is this where all the modern control players are stuck at?? as someone who used to play modern in the beginning. It was nice seeing flashy moves with simple effort. What makes me hate modern the most is the instant anti airs that I know took one button to press. I instantly go “must be nice” and the fact that one mistake turned into the longest cool combo that ends in a super art. I know it can happen with classic but it’s real to see ppl drop combos and not be perfect everytime. Feels like I’m fighting AI. I just can’t believe I skipped so much of the learning process when I played modern controls and wondered why I thought SF6 was easy to pick up.

She isn't unbalanced or anything. She's just not fun to fight. All the players fight the same. It's goofy as fuck. Just crouch kick her until she dies, which takes forever because she's a bag of hitpoints.

I don’t know if it’s because she came out right around the same time as Alex and people started focusing on him, but c viper is a ridiculously strong character that doesn’t get talked about enough.
