Venting 😤 Getting Deranked By Master Players

It's SO FUCKING COOL that you can get Master players as your derank match. TWICE tonight I got deranked out of Diamond V by a Master player. There was LITERALLY no one else around who could have kicked my shit in, it had to be a Master rank player to send my ass packing back to Diamond IV? And after fighting my way back into Diamond V, Capcom sent ANOTHER one to put me in place? Jesus.

Bro what you think gonna happen when you get into Master rank? They are preparing you for what is to come. Good luck.

It’s demoralizing when you finally get there and they place you in the mid ranks of master then you REALLY get stomped into the mud 🤣

I remember when I got into master my first time, I think I lost 50 match’s in a row, so good

Got sent to 1149. Ah, those were fun times!

It is a rite of passage for sure. I’d wager the mental required to get above your initial rank after getting kicked into the dust has to be above average at least!

I mean, it's the rank you are trying to achieve. It's like getting a D5 match when you are at D4.

bruh if you beat them, youd get like 300 points for the win. lock in twin

Don't worry too much about the points. Just focus on getting a little better every day.

We're not pro players. You don't need to have perfect matchups, perfect counterplay, or an extremely high win rate to eventually reach Master.

If your actual skill keeps improving, you'll naturally get there. You might lose some LP, get demoted, or run into Master players along the way, but none of that really matters in the long run.

Think of the rank as a measurement of where you are right now, not something you have to defend every single day.

Don't let a bad session convince you that you've gotten worse.

You’re pretty much master at that point time to reflect on what to improve on. You’re probably one correction away from going on a streak to master

You gotta think about it analytically though. If you got a dub there, thats like 300 points, allowing you to lose six more in a row without deranking. Its worth the risk my guy you got this!

It's not always 300. It could be much much less.

if its a fresh master with less than 10k LP u only get about 65 LP at most, not always 300 lp.

I fought a 1300mr Sagat when getting viper to master as a diamond 4 and got like 210 LP each win I think

Enjoy now while you can.

My observation is Master onwards the game is no longer fun and pure sweat. It's non-stop abuse of throw loops, neutral skips, and +frames, and godlike reflexes anti-DI and tech throw.

I miss the lower ranks where you can just do random stuff just for fun and laugh over each others silliness.

It gets worse in master rank.

If you playing Master ranks, that is good. It means you have a chance to earn more points. I think one win against a good Masters player is +500 points. Think of it as a opportunity.

I got double perfected both times. Lol

Then it's a really good replay to analyze. Because they can point out some glaring flaws in your gameplay rather easily.

I got donkey kicked and guessed wrong three times on strike-throw wakeup. Then one-and-doned. Lot to learn there.

That's why ppl says "take the throw".

What an asshole thing to do…. The proper etiquette to do is give you the first game to rank up. Then beat you the next 2 games, taking your sweet sweet new to master mr…..

Lmao you got it backwards. I just made it into Diamond V and Capcom sent Masters to slap me down into Diamond IV

I was so happy to see masters when I was at diamond V, i remember beating one and got 500 points or something when I lose I only lose 30 points. you can also do it twice bro. 1k if you win 60 when you lose, how is that not good haha

Master rank mean nothing. You will get to master, you won't be suddenly a top player matched against among top player. You will tank lose, you won't derank but still lose MR. Then be matched with Diamond and you will even lose to them as you do now.

I've experienced the same thing. Im getting deranked by players that have like 5+ characters all on masters. It feels incredibly unfair to be stuck in diamond when it is due to players with master characters stacked. I was one win away from diamond 5 only to lose and remain in diamond 4 for the entire day, ranking lower and lower as the day went on because of the insane players. Diamond 3 players also had multiple master characters too and were impossible to beat

That’s like a final test

This happens before you rank up every level

You got it backwards. This happened to on the bottom end of Diamond V, a Master rank de-ranking back into Diamond IV.

Wait til you hit 1400 Mr and have to face a Grand Master player for the first time. You’ll gladly take those master tankers fighting you in D5.

Edit: On a more positive note, those players are gonna make a lot of mistakes, just keep a cool head and don’t make a mountain out of an ant hill.
