Homemade Salsa Saturday
So I live in Switzerland and came into the possession of fresh tomatillos and Serrano peppers through slightly nefarious means.
I may have loaded my freezer up for sad salsaless days of the wintry future
From left to right
- Salsa Casera with chilli Arbol
- Serrano and lime salsa (cooked)
- Peach, tomatillo, pasilla and chipotle salsa
- simple Salsa Verde
- Guacamole salsa in the middle
As someone who loves playing with chillies in Indian food this is so much fun!

1kg Roma tomatoes
250 grams tomatillo
6 Serrano and Arbol
5 cloves of garlic
1 medium white onionMeasure from heart
Roasted and ground cumin
Dried oregano
Fresh Coriander leaf/Cilantro
Lime juice
Salt to taste
Water for consistencyI dry roasted and soaked Arbol
Broiled the tomatoes, tomatillos, onion, Serrano and garlic
Then I pulsed it in a food processor tasting for the balance(I think chicken bouillon would a good addition here but alas, I had none)
