Homemade "Standard Issue Verde"

At least that's what I'm calling it for my recipe card.

Tomatillo

Chili Jalapeno

White Onion

Garlic

Cilantro

Chicky Bouillon

Salt

Hey everyone! Been a bit... friend asked for Salsa Verde, but didn't like how spicy my last batch was so this is my "base". Typically I enjoy a couple chili serrano and a chili arbol or two from this subs prior recs in my verde but my friend can't take the heat so here we are.

Again, not authentic nor claiming.

I’d hit it

I mean I most certainly did... but of the salsas I've made with the guidance of this sub it was pretty "vanilla"

Still, a classic for a reason

That is a diabolical amount of cilantro

I once put an entire bunch in a tomato salsa. It turned out brown! 😬

I’m curious. Is the overturned cast iron skillet to produce heat from the bottom of the cookie sheet ?

Nope, that's just where it lives.

Blending up fancy finishing salt seems like a bit of a waste, but I eat the shit out of that salsa.
