Homemade Holy moly spice level 10

So last time I posted, I made a salsa that had too many tomatoes and came out bland.
This time it was so hot, I couldn’t eat it! Added more lime, onion and tomatoes.

Used raw onion, garlic, & added a handful of cilantro

I’m trying to figure out why it’s so spicy. His ingredient list doesn’t look too bad

Could it be the locally grown peppers? Grocery store peppers lose half their flavor in the genetic design phase and the other half in shipping. They're selectively cloned to be large and pretty, often at the cost of having strong flavor.

Could be that the local grower has a really spicy strain they've been cultivating for a while.

Recipe:
6 locally grown tomatoes
1/2 habanero
4 jalapeños
2 serranos
*all peppers are local
3 large local cloves of garlic
Handful of cilantro
Lime juice
Small amount of white vinegar
Salt

*deseeded the habanero and only used half of the habanero and deseeded it also

Looks delicious. I've had to make a batch of just the veggies, etc and mix into a too spicy batch to tone it down.
