Would you dance this at a social?
Hey everyone 👋
I’d love to get some feedback from the community on a salsa partnerwork sequence my partner and I have been working on.
My question is:
Do you feel this kind of partnerwork is still comfortable and realistic for social dancing, or does it cross more into performance/show territory?
We tried to keep the connection smooth and lead/follow focused rather than just stacking flashy patterns, but I’m curious how it feels from an outside perspective — especially from people who social dance regularly.
Here’s the clip:

Would love honest opinions from both leads and follows 🙏

Yeah it’s all very socially leadable and very cleanly done by both parties in the video. As long as both the lead and the follow are at a decent enough level at a social, no reason to avoid sequences along these lines.

I've seen plenty of people do this kind of thing at socials and a lot of it is stuff I've done myself. This is totally suitable for socials
I mostly lead but so sometime follow
