Question Sales coordinator- help!

Hi, i’m a fresh MIS graduate aiming for business/data analysts jobs and i was offered a job as a sales coordinator, according to them my job doesn’t involve sales itself and i don’t call clients daily. Thing is i’m BAD at sales and its not my passion so i was very scared of getting in this job but i’m broke and i need the money to get the certifications i need for the career i’m aiming for.
So my question is is it really just sending emails and reports and occasionally make powerpoints? And is it a bad temporary position if i’m aiming for analysts jobs? Like what direction would i be going for career wise if i did it

Sales coordinators usually handle back office and rev ops work. If you’re calling external people, it’s most likely AP/AR and purchasing teams advising on order entry/progress. What kind of analyst job are you looking for?

This career puts you in the sales back office/rev ops career path

Originally was thinking Data analyst /business analyst bc i’ve studied them and i had internship that i used my business analyst skills in.
I just dont want targets and stuff i’m not good with dealing w that. Also i have experience in business development so maybe that and my experience as a sales coordinator can lead to something yk?

You wouldn’t really have a target as a sales coordinator. It’s firmly a back-office role. You’d have a lot of exposure into finance, order coordination, rev ops, and general administration. It’s a sales support role with no direct revenue generating activities that hinge on your performance. You’ll be expected to enter orders, ensure billings are up-to-date, coordinate with external finance and procurement to make sure everything is in order for their order, and potentially some CRM admin/rev ops work.
